Meter Box Replacement Door - Recessed & Surface Mounted Electric (EDP0008)

When measuring the original door, and then seeing the advert for this one, it seemed to be the same . When it arrived it stated a slightly different measurement. However, after manoeuvering it, using a flat knife to hold the spring back on the hinge, and gently applying pressure, it eventually closed and we were able to lock it. It fits very snugly. It looks good. We have not painted it, but left it the colour it was when it arrived.

Good product. Only slight observation is that the spring loaded fitting is at the top whereas our box was designed with a bigger gap at the bottom, so had to do a few minor alterations to get it to seat properly into the frame. I was slightly worried that the door wouldn't fit the box (our's is nearly 20 years old) but it shuts perfectly.

It is what it is, a large plastic replacement meter door. Hardly earth-shattering. However, installing was a doddle, and it has so far survived some horrific weather without a scratch. I guess it would be nice if they could have knocked a few quid off... But it does the job at a reasonable cost.

To replace my daughters old tatty broken one that was on when she bought the house. easy to fit once I repaired the hinge part on the box. looks a lot better then the one did.

A poor fit and I can't lock the door. Its plastic and had to be forced into the space allocated inorder to keep the door shut.

Fitted within 5 minutes. Just the job, well worth spending out for. The old door , hinges broke!

It was certainly made for the job but the fit on the bottom pin required work or get it to slot in properly, then it broke, and so to date the new door on my electric box looks really bad. Otherwise quick delivery and service but I could do with a couple of new pins so it looks as it should. Any idea where I can get them?
