Unbelievable value.
The Edge 40 feels premium quality despite been very light and thin, the vegan leather back ouses quality when holding in your hand. The battery life is excellent I'm a medium user and end the day with 60% still in the tank . The camera for the price is very good maybe just a tad under Samsung Galaxy or Google pixel low light quality but still excellent for the price and very usable . The curved screen looks fantastic it's sharp and vibrant and just the right size. The charging speed is outstanding flat to 100% in around 45 mins so on a Special Amazon offer of £299 this is unbelievable value and would highly recommend at this price.

Perfect condition.
I'm absolutely delighted with this lpurchase. I was thinking about a contract phone, but I chanced a look at Amazon's offerings and was amazed to see the phone I'd fallen for. There it was, the Motorola edge 40 at an amazing price as it had been opened and returned. The phone is in perfect condition and the amazing price adds to my love and enjoyment of it. Thanks Amazon for yet another exceptional, high quality item. I couldn't be happier with it.

My first smart mobile
I'm a very old pensioner needing something to read QR codes plus a decent camera. It all takes a lot to get going so I only mention two problems so far. 1. The torch that lights with two shakes only worked the first couple of times I tried it. I can't find out if its me or the phone at fault. 2. A QR code reader costing a dollar to download reads the codes ok but then tells me they can't be opened The camera is amazing but I haven't yet found how to transfer the pictures onto my laptop. It is a very steep learning curve.

Superb mid-range phone that holds its own versus high end priced devices
This is a great phone, superb, fast and rich OLED display, great sound and with all the bells and whistles (features) of a much more expensive phone. Motorola also provide a clean Android experience i.e. they don't add another interface layer like Samsung and the apps that are pre-installed are all removeable. Excellent value, worth a look if in market for a new android device.

Terrible overall performance.
This is not a great phone at all and full of false promises, I have had this for a few months now and for a phone that is supposedly packed with a great memory, ram and overall performance, it does not live up to these expectations. It struggles to run the Facebook app and is constantly buffering, the camera goes blurred if you point the camera too close, the battery needs constantly charging. My Edge 20 lite I had purchased prior to this was so much better. For me, who has owned many different Motorola phones, this is no different than the budget ones priced at £100=£200, it is not worth the money because it doesn't do anything special and offers a worse performance than the budget phones. I have always been loyal to the Motorola brand but after purchasing this phone I may not be as I feel this phone isn't the phone I was sold by it's description and performances promises.

Not a bad phone but has few pretty big issues.
Not a bad phone all in all but after 3 months usage I've noticed so pretty bad issues so getting it refunded. The WiFi does not work at all well and has gotten a lot worse with constant drop outs. Tested WiFi on other phones and no issues. According to a Google search this is a pretty common issue. Camera isn't bad but it is pretty slow. Also have had issues with GPS. If it didn't have these issues I'd be happy to keep the phone but it looks like I'm going back to Samsung.

Great features
Upgraded from a Motorola g9 and was torn between the edge 40 and the Samsung a54 in the end I went for the Motorola as I had previously had several Motorola phones and they had all been fine. Got this phone at a great price and it worked well straight out of the box. The turbo charging is excellent if you need it charged quickly, the battery lasts all-day. Will be going on holiday soon so will be taking many pictures so will see how the camera performs. So far very pleased.
