Great, quality bonsai soil for a great price. Although the bag came smaller than a thought, it was more than plenty to fill a large pot for my young bonsai tree, with half the bag leftover.Quality drainage which is key for bonsai roots. I highly recommend switching your bonsai to bonsai specified soil. Many little trees die packaged in regular dirt where roots rot.Transaction was smooth and swift, securely packaged. Again, I highly recommend.

Amazing! I am a first time Bonsai plant mom and did a lot of research before settling on this one. I've read a lot of reviews about how this company and their products are some of the best and a lot of peoples go to. My little bonsai tree is growing amazing and this soil seems fantastic! Expect your bonsai to lose some leaves after replanting but mine has so much new growth now and seems to really thrive in this soil!

First off - this is good bonsai soil. I have used the all-purpose soil twice over the course of 3-4 years to repot my bonsai (two varieties of ficus, kept indoors). They have thrived, so I have no real complaint. However, I have noticed soil inconsistency in the bags themselves. The bag I had 2 years ago was much more fine and closer to dirt, the bag I ordered the other week was mostly small porous lava rock (perfectly fine and expected), but the second bag I ordered a day later of the same was more mixed with mulch/fertilizer (had a distinct manure smell). These were all the same all-purpose bonsai soil, but came out starkly different. Again, they all worked, but I would prefer better consistency in the same advertised product.

Very easy to use all in one for my tree

I intentionally waited a bit to post this review, so I could ensure it is accurate and honest, and my babies (trees) didn't die.This stuff is great! My saplings are flourishing and happy, healthy. Very satisfied with the product and would absolutely recommend.The seller is amazing as well! Very quickly answers questions (my experience was via email) and are super nice!

The delivery was great and quick. I needed it in a hurry for one of my trees. But they stopped making varieties for deciduous, fir, and tropicals. I preferred them, but this newer version works OK. Your only other option is to buy the various ingredients and make your own. I did it that way for some time, but now that I have a much smaller inventory, it doesn't make sense to do it that way. Tinyroots is a great company and I use their products the bulk of the time. Try it, you'll like it.

good quality bonsai soil, would buy again

Use it to top coat for astecitic purposes. Does not hold moisture well for me. Prefer Brussels Bonsai potting mix for my trees
