Big fan of HOKA’s running and trail shoes—they’re top quality and worth the price. But their flip flops (like the Ora Recovery) are a major letdown. They’re marketed as recovery footwear, but in reality they offer poor protection, weak grip on wet surfaces, and feel unstable to walk in. The thick sole makes you wobble, and they wear down quickly. Also found the toe post uncomfortable after a short time, and the material traps heat, making them sweaty and uncomfortable in warmer weather. For something so expensive, I expected much better. They’re okay for short indoor use, but definitely not safe or reliable enough for everyday wear. Disappointing, especially from a brand I usually trust.
