Simply the Best Choice for your Feathered Friends
Love Roudybush for our 2 Sun Conures and 2 Caiques. It is simply the best researched, best quality product for your feathered friends. Zupreem is also solid, though having tried both, I'd say our birds prefer the Roudybush and seem to be healthier and happier when we feed it to them. At the very least it's reassuring that this is the food several respected breeders and aviaries use. It's also been scientifically formulated and researched over the years, and has been shown to increase lifespan by as much as 10 years over seed-based diets. That said, do not buy PrettyBird -- which is cheap poor quality. And do not expect your birds to love it if you've been feeding them seed. It will take time to transition them over, but they will adjust in time. Starting with RB as a mix-in and increasing the proportion daily is a good way. We also found that letting our Sun sit in the bag and dig in it worked well -- as funny as that is. We used to do all seed (thinking this was the right thing to do) and learned later how important it is to balance our birds diets with more organic (non-seed foods). Now we use mostly Roudybush and fresh fruit daily, with just a small amount of seed (either as a treat some days, or as a mix in -- though we've found that mixing the two is sometimes counter productive as one of our Suns will dump all the pellets on the floor of the cage trying to get the seed). One note -- this medium size can work for Caiques and Conures (esp if you have the kind who like to crunch things up), but we find the smaller size suits our birds better. Just good to know you can buy this in a pinch if the small size is out of stock when you need it.

Excellent feed
I bought this for my green winged macaw because her other food went up $20 and I wanted something a little less expensive. Despite what some people said about their birds rejecting it I decided to try it anyways. It had a good pellet size, smelled good and had a nice crumble factor to it. My bird usually dives into her other food but only ate a little bit of it when I put it in her dish. Usually she eats all her food by 5 pm which is her second feeding time. There were pellets left over. I waited a few days for her to get used to it but she never did. I did not want her to go to many more days without eating so I broke down and despite the cost bought her, her old food which is what I will keep her on from now on. I have nothing negative to say about this product except you have a 50/50 chance of your bird liking it. I didnt want this to go to waste so I gave it to my friend who owns a bunch of parrots.

Great Product, definitely worth the money.
I have a bare-eyed cockatoo and this medium pellet size is perfect for her beak, its big enough to exercise her beak but small enough for her to be able to eat comfortably. I go through a 10-pound bag of this food in 5 months, roughly speaking. This is great food, low in fat, no dies/colors/arrificial preservatives, and has plenty of vitamins and minerals for your bird's health. I usually serve my bird these pellets with a sprinkling of seeds and fruits/veggies either with the pellets or throughout the day depending on the food. For first time pellet feeders, this food will create a lot of crumbs so don't be alarmed when it looks like more of the pellet ends up on the bottom of the cage than in your bird's stomach. I didn't have too many problems switching my bird over, the bag gives tips on how to switch over. I chose to wean my bird and it took about 6 weeks before she was no longer dependent on a seed diet. I buy regularly from Amazon because no pet stores near me sell this food. It arrives pretty quickly, I reccommend this product.

Roudybush Parrots Pellets large Fantastic Nutrition
I have fed both of my Parrots this Highly Recommended Food for years now and have never had any issues whatsoever except for when Amazon sends me the food, two to four times the packaging had been delivered in a Disarray because of the food being delivered in flimsy packaging or boxes that their food was delivered halfway missing due to lack of proper packaging that mostly tore apart and/or the food was falling out from the hole in the side of the box which was tossed around by the mailman!! Now Amazon has been trying to find better packaging to make it to my front door!!! Thanks Amazon!!!! Long membership years, Donna Chavez

Favorite pelleted parrot food
What more can I say? My parrots approach these pellets as if they were treats, even though they have no fancy added coloring, perfume, or shapes. Just plain wholesome pellets that the feathered-kids look forward to, no matter how many days in a row they get the same meal. :)Price is good, too, especially in the larger packages. None of the pelleted feeds are cheap, but my parrots feathers look so good when they have been eating this food exclusively for several months. My medium parrots (amazon and pionus parrots) like the medium pellet, but for variety I will sometimes get them smaller or larger pellets to play with. They like to hold one of these pellets in their "hand" and nibble at it. Something about the texture or the way it comes apart when they gnaw on it seems to really hit the spot for my parrots.I will buy a lot more of this. :)

Great pellet, picky bird
These pellets have an excellent reputation among avian vets, so I decided to try getting my two amazon parrots to eat them. One of my amazon likes these, the other doesn't. I've switched to harrisons pellets because both my amazons agree it's tasty. I personally prefer roudybush but at the end of the day the healthiest pellet is the one your bird actually eats!
