We absolutely love this kettle
I've noted the odd bad review for this kettle and am baffled by them, because there are so many brilliant features offered by this product. I bought this kettle as a replacement for the Siemens Porsche kettle. I had read the reviews and the kettle looked good based on those. However, when the kettle arrived, we were so impressed. It had all the good features of the Siemens Porsche, but the additional features elevated this product significantly. Namely: 1) Temperature control - coffee is so much better with water at 90 degrees. Also, the ready time is much quicker. 2) Lighting indicators - allow the progress of the kettle to be monitored. 3) The beep, that some complained about, is really useful when you are busy elsewhere in the kitchen. Also, the kettle doesn't keep on boiling before it switches off, which so many other kettles do and is a complete waste; because water temperature cannot go beyond its boiling point (unless it is under pressure). 4) The internal lining is made of plastic, but there is no affect on taste that I can detect. 5) The insulation is truly marvellous - the kettle is completely safe to hold. Apart from these features, there are a few improvements over the Siemens Porsche; most notably, the lid opening mechanism is much improved and the base is much more robust and very smooth when rotating the kettle on the base. All-in-all, a brilliant kettle and well worth the cost. I new I had made a good purchase when my better half said how much she loved the kettle - and, believe me, that doesn't happen very often!

Great kettle at a good price
I'd previously fallen out with a Breville one cup machine and was just looking for a straightforward kettle. I'm really happy that we selected the Bosch Styline. It looks sleek and is easy to use but has some really nice features. The cord stows neatly in the base so that you can just unravel the amount you require rather than having lots of cable on display. It's relatively light to pick up and fills at the top by pressing the button to release the lid. I love the fact that you can select your water temperature. I really enjoy a boiling hot cup of tea (I have an asbestos mouth allegedly!) and you can choose your heat by pressing the buttons on the top when you set it to boil. I prefer it slightly lower heat for things like soup or coffee but set to the max for tea. You can also press a button to keep the water at your preferred temperature for up to 30 minutes. I just really like this as a product - straightforward, does everything you'd expect from a good kettle with a few added extras. Not overly complicated and a good price in comparison to some of the other options on the market. I recommend.

Fantastic kettle. Looks great and feels very solid and well built.
Fantastic kettle. Looks great and feels very solid and well built. My wife loves herbal teas, so the temperature setting is very useful and with four different temperature settings to choose from she has no need to add cold water to hot in order to get it right. You simply press the on-button and then select which temperature you would like immediately after. it also has a stay warm function which you select once the kettle has boiled; this works for about 30 minutes and then turns off. There is a circular button on the top of the kettle which flips the lid open (only the front third opens) and the lid closes manually. It holds 1.5 litres. The handle is quite thick and feels very robust and in front of the handle is the water level display (displayed in cups). The kettle slots on top of its base easily and it takes just over 1 minute to boil a full kettle. Once the kettle has boiled it emits a beep to let you know. When pouring, the lid stays firmly in place and as such there is no spillage.

Nice brew!
I have used this kettle for a very months now and find it works well. Overall the kettle is well constructed, however the lid does stick occasionally, it doesn't appear to have a fault but it does worry me a little as to the long term use that this might break but we will just have to see. I like the temperature select feature and most of all the audible 'beep' that is just loud enough to hear or to ignore in the hope someone else might pour the tea. One final function I like is the ability to have the kettle reheat the water for 30 mins, reboiling it as necessary until you get to it. The perfect amount of functions overall without making things over complicated. The black and silver styling would match most kitchens too!

Great Kettle and looks good too
After my 12 year love affair with my sleek and stylish ever-so-expensive Siemens Porsche Mark 1 toaster and kettle combo ended, after they busted from wear and tear, I had to find replacements for them. That proved harder than I thought: kettles (and toasters) either looked bad and performed OKish but look cheap and nasty; looked good and attracted poor reviews; looked bad and attracted good reviews, or looked good with good reviews but cost a king's ransom. Then I came across this kettle, which seemed to tick all the right boxes. I have had it a few weeks now and it not only looks stylish, it is technically advanced too: lightweight empty and full; you can heat water to different temperatures 70 (white tea) 80 (green, herbal teas) 90 (coffee) 100 (regular cuppa); it has a handy 'keep warm' function that keeps heated water at a constant temperature for 30 mins without having to repeat the boiling up process over again - to save energy. The power cord can be coiled underneath the base plate so as not to trail across countertops. It comes fitted with a regular UK three pin plug. On the downside, it is a big kettle. Therefore, if you are low on kitchen counter space this might not be the best choice for you. Overall, this Bosch is a good buy and is reassuringly good quality and should last a good few years too. I have decided to team my new 'water baby' with a sleek two slot single slice width black Graef toaster to match it, which I have also reviewed on Amazon.
