These were high quality and easy for my husband to install into my work filing cabinet. They are effective because I only wanted 2 of the 4 drawers to lock. I like that they were keyed alike because I don't have to keep track of multiple keys. I teach school and this helps me keep my purse locked up so I don't have to worry about theft.

Like the reviewer Eben Roy stated, these are a direct fit for the second generation Toyota Tacoma's bed storage compartments. As stated, you do not need to enlarge the holes, just firmly push the 5/8" long cylinders into the holes (they will fit snug) and make sure to use the larger locking tab with the bend angled inwards. Also make sure that the tab follows the same arc as the OEM units. I took my install one step further and used a razor blade to remove the raised tab so that I could snug the lock nut down relatively flat. If you remove this tab you cannot go back to the stock locking knobs though. Either way, with or without this tab, you can use the locking nut to secure the lock cylinder. Additionally, to combat rattling noise due to the slightly looser fit of the compartment door meeting the bed of the truck you can use weather stripping on the bedside of the truck so that the compartment door has something soft to rest on. Once I was complete I could not remove the compartment doors so all worked as planned. Hope this helps someone out! Update: They also fit the inside storage compartments perfectly as well! Same deal, I used a razor blade to remove the raised plastic tab so that the locking nut could sit flush and then installed these cylinders and they work perfectly! They sell these in a pack of 6 all keyed alike, I'm convinced these are meant for the Tacoma second gen lol.

Locks worked perfect on our boat. Right size no problem installing. Make sure to measure your old ones or areas you'll be installing.

Lost the key for a couple lockboxes at work. Changed it out with this one no problem and works great. Comes with Multiple keys too which is nice

I got it for my mailbox key replacement. But all the keys and locks are the same. So if you install 2 of them different mailboxes it can be opened with the same key.
