Wild Scottish Knight (The Enchanted Highlands)

Scotland, Highland Coos, Magic and of course Love
As much as I so loved all of the Irish tales from Grace's Cove and the Siren Island mermaid tales, I am so grateful that she is now going to Scotland, because that is where my soul and history of my soul resides. The Scottish highlands as well as the Cornish Coastlines.I wanted to make this last, knowing that I’d have to wait a few months for the next book in the series, but I couldn’t. I had to sit down and read it in between lunch, dinner, feeding the wildlife, and a few other things for a Saturday afternoon. But it was so worth it.Sophie has some incredible relationships with her uncle, his wife and her best mate Matthew. They support her when her parents do not. Emotions range from laughter to tears and everything in between and to me, that's what makes a book worth reading. The magic is subtle but fully present and grows as Sophie embraces it. The ghosties, the kelpies and the local characters all blend into the story seamlessly and all you can think is, 'I don't want this to end.'Tricia has a way of keeping you hooked and wanting to turn the next page. Every character, heroine and protagonist is fully defined and you love or dislike them as you move through the story. But hooked you will be, so dive in and enjoy. So thank you Tricia O'Malley for trekking across the pond to the Scottish Highlands.

There's Something Enchanting About a Grumpy Scotsman
And she's off! Tricia O'Malley promised we'd love her new series, but I was hesitant to believe anything could grab my attention as much as Grace's Cove and all it's residents. But here we are...book one of the Enchanted Highlands series, and I'm already hooked. Sophie has lost the one centering force in her life, her uncle Arthur. Granted, he was larger than life, richer than sin and had a multitude of ex-wives to prove it. At the READING OF THE WILL Sophie took ownership of a castle in Scotland and a plea to restore the order and if she stayed for a year - she would receive 30 million dollars, oh and she had to leave immediately. Lachlan, the unofficial laird of the town of Loren Brae and MacAlpine Castle fills the role of a grumpy Scotsman to a tee. He doesn't want to work with an American, let alone a woman, to restore the order - what he needed was a knight! Sophie MacKnight thinks she's in Scotland to help refurbish the town's castle not become a Knight in the Order of Caledonia and save Loren Brae. Will she be able beat the kelpies, save her new friends and maybe fall in love? You'll have to read it to find out. it's a wonderful cast of characters in another enchanting Tricia O'Malley story. Can't wait to read book number 2 (I already pre-ordered it!)

A great start to a wonderful new magical series!
I love everything Tricia O'Malley has ever written and "Wild Scottish Knight" is no exception. The new setting for this magical journey is Scotland, the home of her new husband and soulmate. Tricia's love for her husbands country shows in every word she writes. I have always wanted to visit Scotland but have never had the time and money. Having read "Wild Scottish Knight" I feel I have begun to to experience Scotland in a way few see it. I am ready to go see Loren Brae, the castle and all its magical creatures, for myself. Tricia O'Malley makes the fantasy world of Loren Brae seem real enough to touch! There is lots of steamy romance in this novel and action that keeps you reading long after you should be snug in your bed! The characters are quirky and laugh out loud funny, and seem so real they burst from the page into your living room!I was so enamored with Tricia O'Malley's "Wild Scottish Knight, I preorder book two in the series before I was even halfway through book one! Pick up this enchanting book and make sure you say hi to Clyde the ghostly Scottish coo (cow) and Sir Buster the snappy chihuahua!

Scottish Sophie Kicks Butt!
On one of the worst days of her life, when her beloved uncle Arthur ashes are scattered thanks to a dog fight over a stuffed coo, Sophie learns she inherited a castle in Scotland. When she arrives, she learns that not only does she own the castle, she's meant to become the next Knight.Lachlan lives to serve the castle and the people of the community, but his heart is locked up tightly. After losing his mother to the loch, closing himself off to love and attachment is preferable to losing everything again. Until Sophie walks through the door. Each must learn something about themselves in order to find each other. Will they be able to hold the selkies at bay until they can find the strength needed?I adore how Tricia O'Malley weaves magick and acceptance into each of her books. Learning to love yourself is the first step to being able to love others. No matter who the heroine is, they always find the best within themselves and are surrounded by people who love and support them. We should all be so lucky!

A castle, kelpies, a knight and a ghostly highland coo
I loved this book. I loved Sophie and Lachlan and all of the side characters - even the dog and the coo that happened to be a ghost. All of the characters were relatable from the grumpy Lachlan to the womanizing bartender, the bookstore owner and the couple who managed the castle. Sophie's stepmother and best friend were delightful. I enjoyed all of them. I loved Sophie's insightfulness and compassion as well as her personal growth through the book. Sir Buster, the chihuahua, made me laugh and I couldn't help but giggle over the ghostly highland coo, saying moo and possibly meaning boo. At least to a staggeringly drunk Sophie and Matthew. This first book in this new series was so much fun and I couldn't help but pre-order the next one. So glad I only have to wait until August. Sigh. Thank you Tricia O'Malley!

Loved it
The Amazon Spring Challenge led me to this author and I am so glad I read it. I loved the Scottish backdrop, Clyde the coo, Sir Buster, and all the humans. The humor was spot on, so was the magick quest. I just hope Graham can get his HEA during this series…or at least have Agnes put him out of his misery. The one downfall was the time. I am not a fan of things happening and only finding out during a several day time jump. It wasn’t annoying enough to drop any stars though and I can’t wait to read the next book. Until then, I’m going to go and read everything else she has written.
