There must be a better solution than this
Sadly there’s a lot of potential for this device but it’s let down by bloated software that encourages you to open your cam to the world and let anyone feed your pet, a hidden subscription service you find out about after purchase and pretty poor and intermittent connection via the app. Not to mention the camera is extremely poor in low light. The VERY American t&cs regarding use of your images and data are enough to put anyone off. And yes, as others have said there’s no off button. It’s ok ONCE you’ve worked out what treats work and what don’t but would I buy it knowing all that? No.

Fun bit of pet tech
I found this product really easy to set up. You download the app then plug in the unit and the app steps you through the process. I had it up and running in about 3 minutes, much to my dog's delight. The unit itself is a little bigger than I expected but it is very sleek and unassuming looking so it blends in nicely on the shelf. I did have a bit of trouble finding the right treats as it jammed a few times when I first filled it up. I am currently using these Pooch and Mutt Calm and Relaxed Treats for Dogs 125 g (Pack of 3) which seem to be working - occasionally it does fling three at a time but my dog doesn't mind. The app is fairly straight forward and during your free trial, will record 10 days worth of videos which you can download to your mobile. You can also take photos or stream live to Facebook from the app. I did have trouble figuring out how to speak through it but you just have to click the cog in the top right of the screen and turn on the sound for 2 way communication. When dispensing treats the unit is quite loud which my dog was nervous of at first but he quickly got over it when he realised the noise means a treat will come. It is adorable watching his face on the camera as he waits for the treat to shoot out.All in all it's a fun bit of pet tech, I quite like the fact it notifies you of any motion so it does provide a sense of security if your pet is home alone. Would make a great Christmas gift for a pet lover on your list.

Great way to check in on your pet,
We got this quite a while back and we were having issues with it from the start but it seems to be working well since the updates have been rolling out to it.So nice way to video check-in on our cat, and chuck a few treats when you want.We had some issues with the infrared night vision and also with the wi-fi dropping out at the beginning, worked with technical support to get these raised, was a little bit of a pain as they didn't really own up to it being an issue but I made some suggestions which did appear on their updates which I guess is good.So Wi-Fi doesn't appear to be a problem any more since they have applied and pushed updates, it would drop out like a few times a day but now I think I've only noticed it drop to say 1 or so in a month. The night vision not turning on when the ambient light drops I think kind of still happens but I suggested they just put a button on their app to allow you to turn it on and off. So technically I suspect they have fixed this but you have a button now where you can just press it if it doesn't activate or turn off when it's meant to.Overall, very pleased for the most part as we've had it for over 2 years now and where were aware or want to check in and throw a treat we can :)

Fun, good camera, makes me look like a mad cat lady
The media could not be loaded. We have a very naughty, clever Bengal who loves nothing more than treats and I've always wanted to know what he gets up to when we aren't here (other than terrorising his brother, that's obvious because of the clumps of fur around the house)This device comes in a really cool box, super easy instructions and set up. I would 100% recommend this product only if you can attach it to a wall (screws and a easy measuring guide provided) because after the first treats came flying out our cat tried to eat the pet cube, attack the pet cube and then sat there and tried to get his paw up in the hole to knock out treats so needless to say it was on its back in 30 seconds post treat giving. The camera on it is great fun, good quality, a really wide angle and starts recording when it senses the cats. The app and pet cube paired easily, the flashing lights indicate different things so is easy to know when it's recording. The only thing is we were only able to pair one phone to the device at a time.My cat has absolutely loved this. He goes nuts when he hears our voice some through the speaker, its loud enough that he can hear it from other rooms. He will sit and stare at it for hours hoping more treats will fly out (the distance you can get on the treats is hilarious!) The price seems a little expensive but for piece of mind that your pets are ok and the fact it can basically double as a security camera as it has night mode, makes it worth the money!
