My cockatiels have used this box twice now to raise babies and lay another clutch. It works really well and they feel comfortable in it. The size is perfect. They hatched 4 and they went to their homes and now there are 4 more eggs. They feel safe in there.

It’s working as intended, finally my birds gave it a shot and tried it! It was better to have a simple handle for the back side cover to pull it out (not an easy option if you want to check inside time to time). And also not sure how much the extra end of bolts will be safe for birds. It’s a temporary cage and I want to make a large cage for them plus a perfect nest. Anyone knows these parakeets really gonna lay eggs?

I bought the medium sized one & 1 Tiel just fits. I like it because they can't really toss out the nesting materials. It really didn't take them long to figure it out. They were, of course, skittish for a day or 2, but the need to sit on their eggs took over & now they have no problem going in & out.

Update on all previous updates: 3/1/2025 After receiving a perfect nesting box replacement for the damaged-upon-receipt-item, I give this a five star rating for making sure the replacement product was as it should be before shipping out to a customer. I am hoping these efforts will continue for other customers as well, before it ever becomes necessary for one to even need a replacement. P. S. Happy Ending! All baby birds were successfully hatched and raised by their parents. 💯 Second purchased item: Downgrading my star rating from a four to a two. Because even after I ordered a second one, it was also damaged. I am no longer happy with this particular succession of purchases and will not be buying this product here, anymore. First purchased item: I would have given this a five star review except for the fact that the white film lining that covered the clear plastic, (where we are supposed to be able to look into the box), was located on the inside of the box instead of the outside. Subsequently it was impossible to remove. But I became I needed the box right away I was unable to return it for a replacement. Fortunately, short of being unable to view my birds raising their chicks, that does not seem to present any problem.

I got the large and sadly it's a little too small for cockatiels but still works. Quality is decent but birds love it as nest and I love to watch them through the glass. The price is a bit too much though, especially for not having the best quality but other than that I have no complaints.
