Clairol Shimmer Light Shampoo for Blonde & Silver 31.5oz. is a popular-priced shampoo that really, so far as I'm concerned, delivers what it promises. It reinforces blonde or light brown hair color, giving it lots of sheen; and it punches up blonde highlights, in between those expensive trips to the beauty salon. (And we all know that to go blonde, even just for highlights, means you might as well keep a sleeping bag at your favorite salon.) And, although I haven't tried most of the colors, I can tell you that several years ago, I wore my naturally reddish hair in a reddish shade,fancy that! And the Clairol Red shampoo punched that up almost too much. Finally, this shampoo is relatively economical as just a little dab will do you, and it lathers up nicely, with a pleasant aroma, to which perfume, thankfully, I am not allergic, and I'm allergic to so many scents. No downside that I can see.

This product works really well!! If you have your hair highlighted or colored blonde, using this product extends the blonde look...shiny and healthy looking to boot. When we have our hair done, it is really expensive, so getting the most for your money/time is important. It certainly does this for myself and my daughters. It is recommended that one use it once a week, but I do occasionally use it more than once with no ill effects. The price is superb! Try pricing it away from Amazon...ouch!!! I couldn't afford to use it for three of us if not for the pricing available here. It is a "blueing" shampoo, so be careful to use in the shower, not at the sink. When you dispense using the convenient pump, hold your hand there and wipe your fingers over the spout to get rid of drips...and wipe up any drips as soon as you are able to avoid a light staining that eventually wears away. It is not a shampoo that lathers up a lot...and I do a follow up shampoo with my regular shampoo, followed with conditioner to get whatever effects I need from them. Excellent product and economical in this size and from Amazon.

This does a great job of removing the yellow from my platinum blonde bleached hair. The smell is a bit off putting, but this shampoo does what it is supposed to so I can live with the smell. I only leave on for one minute because I don't have much yellow now that i've had my hair this shade for over a year, but this does a great job of making my hair look as bright as it did when I just had it bleached. It never looks dull. Don't leave it on for too long through or you could turn your hair purple. Great product!

Clairol has had this product on the market for decades and no matter what new product comes out, this will always be my go to. I have used it on my clients and myself when I used to highlight my hair.. and I use it even now that I’m an old gal and people compliment me constantly on the color of my hair. I have been told my hair “glistens” in the sun.
