tado° Smart Radiator Thermostat (horizontal mounting) - Add-on for Multi-Room Control, intelligent heating control

Very easy to install the whole system (one thermostat, 7 smart TRVs and one extension kit). The extension kit is definitely needed so that you can control the firing of the boiler by the thermostat and the smart TRVs. It was necessary to call Tado to ask them to include all my TRVs in the heating circuit, i.e. if one TRV needs heat, it asks the boiler to fire up through the extension kit (by default this is done only through the thermostats, but if you call them up, they configure your TRVs to do that as well). So far I love this solution and the individual control of the TRVs. I am in one room in the house during the day and I want only that room to be heated. It works great. Looking forward to checking the improvements in energy consumption after a few months usage

This is the 3rd radiator valve that I have purchased as part of my tado kit. So far, I am very impressed with the company and the products, they are very easy to install (mine don't even require use of the additional adaptors that are included), the app is easy to use, and the products very easy to setup through the app. I've only had the tado equipment installed for around a week (this specific device for 24 hours), so battery life in the devices and cost saving is still to be noted. I am hopeful though, and the idea has really good chance of saving money.

I bought this a few weeks ago as we have a period house that is very difficult to heat. I use a Nest for the main kitchen/living area as this was a new build and has under floor heating. The rest of the house was zoned into three areas with time clocks and thermostatic valves on the radiators. When the heating came on the rooms would get really warm then lose heat quickly after the heating switched off! I installed the Tado system in all the rooms except the kitchen. Tado valves on the radiators, a wireless starter kit to control the downstairs zone and a wired thermostat to control the upstairs zone(i had two upstairs zones but have them operating as one now). Each room is a zone now with its on separate time/temperature schedule. Even rooms with more than one radiator can easily be configured in the app to make one room. Fitting all the valves was very easy and pairing all the devices was simple. During my research before buying I had worked out how it all worked and thought I needed to contact support to configure which zone controller was connected to each room device. After logging a call with support it was two days before a response, but this delay had been highlighted on the support page. Once contact was made they pointed me to the website instead of the app and there was the configuration options! I had one other query which they replied to straightaway during this contact. The rooms now have a comfortable heat at the times we use them and in particular the bedrooms are kept at a good temperature, especially during the past few cold nights. Yes, there is a noise from the valves when they operate as they are motorised! But it is not excessive! Can't remember which but it is either AA or AAA batteries in all the devices, so no odd or expensive batteries to replace. You can also go into each room with a thermometer, and if there's a difference between it and what the Tado device is reporting as the temp, you can set and offset value for that room so the Tado heats to a more accurate temperature. Love love love this system!!

So firstly this would have certainly been a 5 star review had the supplied adapters not worked better for my specific radiator valves; Danfoss RA connection. I purchased 7 of these for my home set-up to allow me to zone specific rooms. The valves themselves looks excellent and are certainly the best looking smart TRV valves I have come across to date after an extensive review of others. The TRV valves come with a large selection of adapters. For my specific set-up I required the Danfoss RA adapters. I had problems with these on my radiator and found that they were loose and I had instances when the valve itself would pop off the radiator at random when the TRV was attempting to push the pin back in, with the force exerted on the adapter enough to pop it out of the plastic thread. The thread on the plastic adapter doesn't seem to grip the mating part very well and the interference fit is not snug enough. Once the valve pops off one time then there is little chance it will maintain a good fit on the thread thereafter as the plastic is likely to have stripped to some extent. After speaking to Tado they informed me to not tighten the adapter onto the radiator. This partially worked but I found myself having to wedge in a piece of paper to allow the adapter to grip onto the valve. Not a great solution. Tado customer services were excellent and sent me new Danfoss RA adapters and also advised I could purchase metal adapters separately which I ultimately did. I purchased these metal adapters and what a difference it makes. No longer are my TRV valves wobbly and I now don't live in fear of the valve popping off! This is only my experience and I will certainly be buying more TRV valves again, only this time I will purchase the metal adapters separately for any Danfoss RA adapters. It's a shame the Danfoss RA supplied plastic adapters just don't feel fit for purpose. But overall, after my installation issues, the system itself is fantastic. We now have a truly zoned heating system and love the look of the valves. We extensively reviewed other smart TRV's and came to the conclusion these were the clear winner. Honeywell have their system but the rich interface and software element combined with the sleek and modern look of the Tado valves certainly came out trumps for our home. I've seen other reviews with someone having similar issues with Danfoss RA connections so this doesn't seem to be an isolated event. But again, apart from the small adapter they are fantastic and work flawlessly and are extremely silent (we would never wake up with them turning the rad on/off and the sound lasts only a second or so). This would have been 5 stars if the adapter was metal but the separate purchase was cheap. We have other radiators that don't require any adapters and the TRV fits on it direct flawlessly. I now have 12 of these thermostats fitted and am waiting for my 13th. They replaced older but good Danfoss thermostats. They are reliable, work well and have saved me money. I have two rooms with twin thermostats and they work in cooperation to heat the room. I like setting the room temperatures and this has enabled the savings. Much better than the older stats. Note that you do not need to buy a room stat! They work well on their own.

Para la instalación no necesitas llaves especiales ni cortar el agua 💦 ni purgar una vez finalizado. Cada válvula de paso de agua al radiador, tiene en su interior una llave que es la que regulas con el cabezal giratorio. Este cabezal sólo actúa sobre el émbolo abriendo o cerrando el paso de agua. Este émbolo es hermético y el cabezal del radiador va enroscado sobre él, por lo que no tienes peligro de cambiar uno por otro y de perder agua. 📕FUNCIONAMIENTO Los cabezales inteligentes de Tado, van a regular la temperatura de la habitación a la temperatura de consigna indicada. Esta temperatura de consigna, se le puede indicar desde la App de Tado° o desde el propio cabezal, ya que tiene una rueda giratoria. El cabezal tiene una pantalla en la que se puede visualizar el valor de temperatura 🌡 fijado. Si ya tienes una caldera con un termostato de los que van fijados en la pared, que llevan un cable hasta la caldera, vas a necesitar el TERMOSTATO INTELIGENTE CABLEADO. Este kit viene con: - Un Termostato Inteligente que deberás sustituir por tu termostato actual y conectar el cableado existente. - Un Bridge de Internet, que es como una especie de router que permite la conexión de tu termostato inteligente a internet para poder controlarlo fuera de casa. ⚠️ Es posible que la opción del kit de iniciación con termostato, no traiga los cabezales termostáticos que van conectados al radiador. Con este kit, tienes un termostato inteligente que en función de las temperaturas, le mandará órdenes de encendido/apagado al receptor que controla la caldera. El termostato no es imprescindible, ya que con los cabezales, el bridge y el controlador ya puedes gestionar tu caldera. 2. Si tienes una caldera con un termostático inalámbrico o no tienes ningún tipo de control, necesitas el TERMOSTATO INTELIGENTE INALÁMBRICO. Este kit trae: - Sensor de Temperatura 🌡 Inalámbrico, que puede ir colocado en cualquier estancia y se comunica con el receptor inalámbrico sin cables. - Receptor Inalámbrico que se conecta a la caldera y recibe las órdenes del sensor de temperatura q trabes del bridge, para controlarla. - Bridge de Internet, para dar servicio de internet a tu instalación Este kit es más caro, debido a que el sensor de temperatura de Tado° no es compatible con otros receptores inalámbricos que no sean de su marca. 8️⃣ VALORACIÓN La verdad, es que llevaba con la idea de sustituir los cabezales del radiador y el control de la caldera desde hace un tiempo. Si bien, el precio de todo el conjunto era bastante elevado, para el provecho que le podía sacar en ahorro. Estuvieron de oferta en el día del Prime Day y en noviembre, salieron como una oferta fkk lo flash. Si estás pensando en comprarlos, añádelos a tu cesta 🧺 y luego selecciona “guardar para más tarde”. Cuando bajen de precio recibirás un aviso 🔔 en tu App. Además de los cabezales de los radiadores, también cogí con buena oferta el kit de control inteligente Inalámbrico, para poder gestionar de una manera autónoma la calefacción. Todos los productos de Tado°, se ven de primeras calidades y con una manejo desde la app muy sencillo e intuitivo. La instalación no resulta muy complicada. Tienes muchas opciones de configuración, pero algunas, como el de que se encienda la calefacción cuando estás llegando a casa o que detecte si está la ventana abierta, para cerrar la calefacción, son de pago. Yo no usé esta opción, puesto que no aporta mucha más comodidad de lo que pueda necesitar. Lo que buscaba, es que la calefacción sea un poco autónoma y que en función de la temperatura de cada estancia se regule automáticamente y que no tenga una habitación generando mucho calor 🥵 y otras más frías y que tarden más en calentar. Por lo de ahora estoy en fase de pruebas, por lo que no tengo una valoración de mucha experiencia. Después de un mes de uso, las funciones de pago no son realmente necesarias y el sistema es totalmente autónomo y va encendiendo los radiadores y la caldera, en función de la temperatura en cada estancia. Muy cómodo. Con este sistema, no se si realmente ahorras como dicen, tendré que cotejar este invierno ❄️ con los consumos 📉 del año pasado. Pero lo que más me interesaba, es una distribución más homogénea de la calefacción y no tener que estar pendiente de ponerla yo manualmente y que se me olvide en ocasiones y esté más tiempo de lo deseado. Hay gente que comenta lo del ruido, yo la verdad no tengo queja. Es cierto que se escucha y más de noche, pero es un segundo y no es nada aparatoso. Para mi umbral de ruido están bien. Ahora, tras una actualización, puedes bloquear el cabezal para que los niños no lo puedan manipular. A mi me pasó, que el niño antes de ir a la guarde, lo puso al Máximo y estuvo toda la mañana encendido 🥵. Ahora desde la App puedes bloquearlo 🔐 ✅ CONCLUSIÓN Un buen sistema de calefacción, con la mejor relación calidad/precio que encontré por Amazon. Si bien, dispone de unas funciones que son de pago y la verdad, con el precio que ya tienen, bien se podrían ahorrar. Un sistema con buen funcionamiento y sencillo de instalar con el que puedes controlar con el altavoz inteligente Alexa. Yo lo instalé sobre una llave de Orkli y no tuve problema. Ersetzt wurde eine Wolf-Gastherme, besser gesagt lediglich das Raumthermostat (ART-2). Insgesamt haben wir 5 Heizkörperventile und das Smarte Raumthermostat in Betrieb. Der Hauptgrund für die Installation war, das das bestehende Wandthermostat lediglich im Wohnzimmer die Temperatur ermittelt hat, was eigentlich der Norm entspricht. Wenn allerdings die meiste Zeit im Wohnzimmer vebracht wird und nochdazu z.b. mit einem Beamer abends ein Film geschaut wird, heizen die Geräte und anwesenden Personen den Raum auf. Dementsprechend kühlt der Rest der Wohnung ab und es wartet ein eiskaltes Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer auf einen. Der Lösung von Tado ist hier, dass das Smarte Wandthermostat mit den Heizkörperventieln kommunzieren kann. D.h. wenn im Badezimmer die Temperatur unter ein eingestelltes Niveau sinkt, kann das Heizkörperthermostat dem Wandthermostat sagen: "Schalte die Heizung ein". Daraufhin wird die Therme eingschaltet. Die Heizkörper in den anderen Zimmern sind nach wie vor geschlossen, auch im Wohnzimmer (wenn es warm genug ist). Dadurch wird nur das Bad geheizt, nicht diese gesamte Wohnung. Das Funktioniert auch perfekt, es gibt hier nichts zu bemängeln, es funktioniert einfach. Weitere Funktionen, die mir aufgefallen sind: - Die Reglung ist sehr präzise. Es war sehr störend, dass das alte Thermostat, wenn es z.b. auf 22° gestellt war, die Temperatur auf 21° gefallen ist und dann voll eingeheizt wurde, die Temperatur auf bis zu 24° raufgeschossen ist und das Spiel wieder von vorne angefangen hat. Tado schafft es die Temperatur konstant zu halten, die Heizkörper sind niemals Brennheiß, was auch von der Effizienz des Systems zeugt - Die Erkennung von offenen Fenstern funktioniert makellos, obwohl es noch als Beta Feature gekennzeichnet ist - Alexa intergration ist ein Kinderspiel und funktioniert gut, allerdings wird man es nicht oft verwenden - Die App ist sehr angenehm zu bedienen. Man sieht eine Grafik über den Verlauf der Temperatur für jeden Sensor, es ist auch eingezeichnet wann die Heizung eingeschaltet worden ist - Die Away-from-Home Funktion ist einfach nur sehr praktisch. Nicht nur, dass die Heizung ausgschaltet wird, wenn niemand zuhause ist, wenn man am Weg nach Hause ist (Erkennungsbreich kann frei gewählt werden), wird die Heizung schon vorher eingeschaltet - IFTTT integration, man kann IFTTT Rezepte anlegen. Durch die Away-From-Home Erkennung kann hier vieles gemacht werden, z.b. Garagentor öffnen wenn man in der Nähe ist, oder Kameras einschalten wenn man nicht mehr zuhause ist etc etc - Das System lernt die Heizung und die Wohnung kennen. Es merkt sich wie schnell die Wohnung abkühlt und bezieht auch die Außentemperatur mit ein. Dementsprechend wird auch die Heizung früh genug eingeschaltet, bevor die Temperatur unter das eingestellte Niveau fällt. Pros: * Support ausgezeichnet * Regelung sehr genau und effizient * Installation wirklich einfach * App sehr gut gemacht * IFTTT & Alexa Integration Cons: * Preis (70€ pro Ventil ist zu viel wenn man alle Heizkörper ausstatten möchte, man zahl hier aber auch für den guten Support...) * Keine Möglichkeit zum Testen ob das System funktioniert (man muss das Fenster öffnen und schauen was passiert) > Installation (Smartes Thermostat) < Die Installation ist sehr sehr gut durchdacht und man fühlt sich nie alleine gelassen. Alles wird Schritt-für-Schritt durchgeführt. Zunächst wird die vorhandene Konfiguration der Therme ermittelt. Meine Therme war wie gesagt eine Wolf cgu-2k-18 mit einem ART-2 Thermostat. Auf meine Anfrage hin, ob das System kompatibel sei, bekam ich innerhalb von 1h eine positive Antwort. Nachdem das Raumthermostat ankam und ich mit der Installation anfing, stellte sich heraus, dass bei der Therme ein Kontrollpanel vorhanden war. Die App schickte automatisch eine Support Anfrage und sagte mir, dass eine personalisierte Schritt-für-Schritt Anleitung erstellt wird. Das wunderte mich erstmal, es gibt hier auch keine Möglichkeit mit der Installation fortzufahren. Nach ca. 3 Tagen bekam ich dann die E-Mail, dass ich einfach in der App weitermachen solle. Ich war komplett perplex, dass die personalisierte, auf meine Thermenkonfiguration angepasste Anleitung in die App komplett nahtlos und unmerkbar eingespeist worden ist. Schritt für Schritt konnte ich so das Wandthermostat mit dem Smarten Thermostat innerhalb 20 Minuten ersetzen. Es waren nur 2 Kabel anzuschließen, das Smarte Thermostat hat automatisch den Rest gemacht, obwohl das alte Thermostat mittels digitalem eBus angeschlossen war. Durch den eBus Anschluss lässt sich die Therme sehr präzise Steuern (nicht nur An/Aus, sondern Stufenregelung), sowie auch z.b. die Warmwassertemperatur. > Installation Heizkörperventile < Auch hier wird man durch die einfache Prozedur geleitet. Im Grunde muss nur ein QR-Code gescannt werden, die Batterien durch herausziehen eines Papierteiles aktiviert und das Gerät mit der Basisstation gekoppelt werden. Das alles ist in ca. 2 Minuten erledigt. Das Thermostat wird dann einfach auf den Heizkörper geschraubt. Dafür liegen einige Adapter bereit, ich habe allerdings keinen Adapter gebraucht (es waren vorher Heimeier Ventile drauf), bis auf einen Heizkörper. Hier hat keiner der beiligenden Adapter gepasst. Tado hat mir aber kostenlos einen Adapter geschickt. Nachdem man das Venitl aufgeschraubt hat, kalibriert sich dieser automatisch und ist danach Betriebsbereit, > Qualität und Haptik < Alle Geräte sind sehr hochwertig Verarbeitet. Sie fühlen sich in der Hand auch so an und sind keine Billigteile. Die Temperatur lässt sich manuell verändern, indem man an den Heizkörperventilen dreht. Diese Funktion fühlt sich ebenfalls gut an, es gibt einen leichten Widerstand, der ein gutes Feedback gibt, wie viel man gedraht hat. Das LED-Display lässt sich sehr gut ablesen und gibt dem ganzen einen modernen, minimalistischen Touch. Die Bridge ist ebenfalls minimalistisch gehalten und ist in etwa so groß wie zwei USB-Sticks aufeinandergelegt. Er besitzt lediglich einen Netzwerk- und USB-Anschluss für die Stromversorgung. Das Wandthermostat ist ebenfalls sehr modern minimalistisch gehalten. Das Plastik fühlt sich hochwertig an, die Bedienung ist kinderleicht. > Bedienung / App < Die App ist sehr umfangreich, man kann den Zeitplan für das Heizen sehr genau einstellen. Es lassen sich auch Temperatur-Offsets einstellen, falls ein Thermostat mal eine falsche Temperatur zeigt (war bei mir nicht notwendig). Es lässt sich die "offene Fenster Erkennung" ein/ausschalten, alsauch die "Early-Start" Funktion, die dafür sorgt, dass wenn z.b. 22° um 7.00 eingestellt wurde, um diese Zeit die Temperatur bereits erreicht ist und nicht erst um 7.00 die Heizung gestartet wird. > Support < Hier konnte Tado als Firma einfach Punkten. Während die andere Firma, auch bekannt für ihre Wetterstationen, die ich ebenfalls besitzte, fast zwei Wochen auf Anfragen per E-Mail auf sich warten lässt, bekommt man hier innerhalb von ein paar Stunden eine kompetente Antwort.

Abito sull'appennino parmense dall'inverno 2020/2021. A memoria d'uomo non si ricordava un inverno cosi nevoso e freddo. Ho acquistato con un po' di timore, dovuto alle tante recensioni negative (altresì tutte datate), il termostato smart e le prime quattro teste automatiche. Sono rimasto così soddisfatto che, nel giro di pochi mesi, ho sostituito tutte le rimanenti sei. Ho atteso questi mesi per verificare con attenzione le funzionalità ed il funzionamento e poter mettere a disposizione la mia esperienza a chi desidera acquistare il sistema Tado. Posso dire di essere assolutamente soddisfatto. Partendo dall'installazione: di una semplicità disarmante. È veramente alla portata di chiunque, non serve alcun utensile ne cognizioni tecniche specialistiche. Basta seguire, passo passo, le istruzioni che fornisce, chiarissime e puntuali, l'apposita App Tado. Le teste vengono riconosciute e caricate nella App quasi istantaneamente. Le batterie da inserire nelle teste termostatiche sono 4 normalissime alcaline AA e, oggi lo posso testimoniare, durano tantissimo (siamo a sette mesi ed il livello è ancora al 100%). L'utilizzo della App è molto intuitivo ed alla portata di chi ha anche solo un minimo di familiarità con lo smartphone e le App. Le regolazioni e le opzioni sono sufficienti a programmare qualsiasi scenario possa essere utile e necessario. La geolocalizzazione è una funzione fantastica, e funziona benissimo, per spegnere e riaccendere il riscaldamento quando si è al di fuori o si sta rientrando nell'area prestabilita di casa. Ci sono tante altre funzioni estremamente interessanti ed utili da scoprire non ultimo il report mensile sul risparmio energetico raggiunto grazie all'utilizzo di questo intelligentissimo sistema di termoregolazione. Quindi mi ritengo assolutamente soddisfatto di questo prodotto e dell'investimento fatto.
