VIVOSUN Commercial Air Pump 634GPH, 25W, 40L/min 6 Outlet for Aquarium and Hydroponic Systems

For those that say it's loud, it may be because you have no stones or resistance attached to the outlet at that time. If you just plug it in to test it, it is loud, but with the stones attached and regulated, the hum is much less. It does get warm to the touch over time, but I do have a small computer fan gently blowing over it. I found that if you add a hose of the appropriate diameter to fit over the intake tube and about 12" in length, the hum is considerably less. The hose acts as a muffler on the intake side. It's now quieter than the 4 outlet air pump I had with WAY more air.

Decided to pick up the Vivosun Commercial 102W Aquarium air pump as my Higger aquarium air pumps kept slowly burning out. I needed a better-quality pump that could do the work of four Higger air pumps and last longer than 3 to 6 months. Since switching over to the Vivosun from the Higger pumps, I had no issues. The pump currently supplies air to four 18-inch bubble bars in my 450-gallon aquarium. The amount of air generated is impressive. All four bubble bars are running at with the valves wide open and there's still air to spare. Vivosun provides a generous 12 port manifold to allow for many connections from a single point. The pump is an impressive piece of equipment. Last thing to note, I created a video to do a noise demo. In the video I stand about 6 or so feet from the aquarium before approaching it and opening the cabinet to show the difference in noise levels. What the audience is not aware of is I have already taken measures to lower the amount of noise being generated by the pump. I added a rubber mat underneath two 2x4s the Vivosun sits on dampening the noise quite a bit and currently bleeding off excess air. My plan in the near future is to see if I can further dampen the noise more by placing it in a Heavy-Duty container wrapped with noise absorbent/cancellation foam.My noise demonstration video on youtube. I'm quite happy with its performance. I managed to lower the noise more by using noise cancelling foam which I wrapped the cabinet of the aquarium with on all sides. This also helped with various ambience noises such as the FX6 canister filters too. The good: small and compact and seems well built. Produces a significant amount of air.The bad: runs very hot. It is outside but protected. I cannot touch it for more than a few seconds at most. Doubt pump longevity based on the high temperatures it produces. It is a bit louder than expected but have little to compare to.

This pump is great! I have wasted so much time and money trying to get this result with other pumps. This pump is great. It does have a bit of a buzz but nothing crazy. If it continues to work like this for a year or so I’ll be happy to buy another in a year or so. Well worth the money. My pond is 12’ x 12’ and 3’ to 3 1/2’ deep. Great buy.

I bought this for my aquaponics system. It works great. Using the airstone to supply the mineralization tank, the other airstone is in the fish tank. Also supplying another tank, with no loss of supply to any of the tanks.

Pumps air well, but doesn't last long.The first one I bought quit shortly after a year.I replaced it and bought the product protection from assurion.Good thing because the 2nd one only lasted 11 months.Assurion, was not the easiest to file a claim. I had to fight with he Chat bot for 20 minutes to get ahold of a human, which then took another 10 minutes to complete my claim.

I expected so much more from an air pump boasting 50W of power and 1110 GPH airflow. The first thing I noticed when I initially hooked it up, is how hot it gets, including the nozzle the air hose connects with. I used this pump in a 6 pot hydroponic RDWC Root Sprayer setup, with 2 air stones in the pump tank, and one airstone each per 5 gallon pot. This pump had great airflow, while it worked. This pump becomes very noisy within a year, and died within 6 months after. The Vivosun pump ran so hot, it melted the tube to the nozzle which in my opinion, makes this thing a fire hazard I really wanted to love this pump for the price/airflow rating, but longevity was very lacking. I can't have a pump possibly burning my home down. I also need a pump to be able to run 24/7/365.In fairness, I bought a second pump from Vivosun, just in case I just had a bad one, hopefully, the second one will last longer. I still have an Active Aqua pump that is still quiet, and still running, and they were both bought at the same time. For the money being asked, I would expect a pump to last much longer. It is clear the integrated cooling design is incapable of dispersing adequate heat to keep the oil from burning up. They may want to consider redesigning this pump with internal cooling inside a shell, similar to Active Aqua's version.The new one still runs much hotter than it should, and could easily burn you, especially if you use the carrying handle and your knuckles touch the metal housing when gripping the tiny handle.

This is by far the quietest & has excellent air flow air pump l have ever bought. kudos to the Engineers, I especially like the intake manifold 1/2 in Pex adapter. This is where 50% +/- of the noise comes from. I installed a 1/2"x 3' vinyl tube with a porous filter at the end, absolutely no noise from the intake manifold. It does run hot, which is normal for any air pump. I put a 5-in computer fan blowing on pump to cool it down a bit, for a longer life span possibly. I'm Running the 25w pump 24/7 We will see. As of 11/10/24 I highly recommend this pump.I'll put up a vid later and pics of the stones I'm using

Built a homemade aeroponics system for growing plants and for rooting cuttings. It works great and produces lots of bubbles with the 6 air channels. It is in my garage so the noise does not bother me much, however you may consider this factor if it's positioned in your living area.I am assuming it could also be used for hydroponics systems

I hooked this up to my smallish backyard pond (100-200 gallons) and it looked like the water was boiling.The power was great, the problem is I could hear it quite clearly from my deck ~10m away. You can turn down the airflow with the levers, but the motor power is the same, so you're still wasting power and the motor will still be super loud.So if you have a largish pool outdoor for which you need that much airflow it's great, or if you're a restaurant with a bunch of big tanks to keep aerated.But the description suggests a home aquarium, and I can't imagine using it in my house at that noise level.

I use this for air assist on my cnc laser. Works great. Quite loud but for my application I don’t care. Puts out a lot of air.
