How much weight will one or two of these brackets support?

We have three supporting an oak shelf about 1,6 metres long with IKEA rattan boxes on top with gloves, hats etc. .. no idea of weight but for this sort if duty they are solid .. Nick

What is the max. load per bracket in kg? Need exact figure, validated by manufacturer.

No idea....I have an oak shelve on the brackets. The short end of the bracket is on the wall and the longer part of the bracket is screwed to the shelf. Its solid. I used my own screws for the wall. It will take a good load. I hope that helps.....

are these suitable for exterior usage? I live close to the sea so I need these not to rust. Any idea?

Thanks you for your question. I would not recommend these for outdoor use as they will rust (although some customers want this look) . To use them outdoors with no rust they would need lacquering or varnishing.

Can these brackets be painted? If so, what sort of paint would be most suitable?

I would think so. Spray paint suitable for using on wood or metal from DIY shops . It will say on the spray can if it's ok for using on metal and has a good choice of colours.
