Q: Folks say these are hot. Anybody find a silicon cover that fits that one can leave on while cooking? Thanks.

you need to use things as they are intended. they come off for a reason. they do get hot because they are over a fire and it is made mostly of metal. take it off when cooking and they work well. have a potholder by in case but yes, they get hot and likely there is no "silicon cover" to prevent them from getting hot while cooking.

Q: does your handles fit tight to the pan or is it loose? I can jiggle/wobble the pan while holding the handle

The handle is not a super tight fit, but it adequately holds the pots & pans. You have to use care but given that the handle is designed to move easily from pot to pot to pan, it has to have some clearance for easy use. Hope this helps!

Q: Will this pot gripper work with any pan/pot or just GSI stuff?

It appears to be GSI specific and only some of their pot and pans, at that.

Q: Is it compatible with the stainless steel sets?

This pot handle only works on the InForm cooking pots. It has a tab that slides into the pot along with a retractable pin to prevent the pot from slipping off of the tab. It is NOT a gripper type pot handle.
