I have a valley that frequently gets spring ice damns despite adequate insulation as the gutter just can’t clear all the water in a thaw freeze cycle. Installed 200’ feet in an afternoon. Requires an extension cord to reach outlet.

The clips are slightly difficult but once you get the hang of them they go on easy. Keeps the ice off my roof!

The install process is frustrating (I did it alone) the wire is coiled so really the best thing to do is unravel and straighten it and that is annoying with 200 ft of wire. The measurements are more of a ballpark estimate. I installed mine as per the instructions and after the first snow I do see the function but not a victory. Ice still accumulates and although not as bad as it was it still presents a problem that will have to be dealt with regardless. If I had to do it again I think I would make the zigzag pattern tighter and see if that helped..all in all just get a metal roof and save the money. This was a stop gap option for me and it is nothing more than that..a stop gap

Thought this would be the perfect solution for the valley in my roof. Installation was difficult but not ridiculous. More so getting the clips under the shingles without tearing them. After a few hours installing everything was great and the first snow it worked perfectly but that was it. The second snow, the cable failed to heat and ice formed. Now I have a cable on the roof (in the winter) so I can't remove to return and the company will not respond to emails.

I have 60 tropical plants in Arizona that doesn't like Winter. I've covered them, but I also added this and all of my plants made it through the winter. I mean all of them. Recommend!

This product did not work. I am very disappointing because it was a big task to run the cord through gutters and downspouts, and then pattern it on the roof. It took about 3 hours to install properly. I installed it in late October when the weather was good. It appeared to get warm upon instillation, but with the first snow fall, I looked and it did not melt the snow. I felt the cord and it was no longer warm to the touch. Not sure if my product was defective, or just too long to get warm. Not sure if I can get a refund at this point but I will be contacting the company. I really need a roof heating system that works, and this is not the product. I don't usually do product reviews, but this product was a big disappointment. Buyer beware.

Great product just wish it melted a larger area. Melts up to 2-3 inches around the cable. Overall a good product

i used them for my house eastroughs, the best purchase ever, saved me from having to deuce my troughs twice a winter

Paid someone to install it but it barely gets warm enough to melt anything. If it wasn’t on the roof I’d be returning it.
