Shockingly Effective!
[Quick Review]Love it, absolutely would buy again! Since there is no "true" Cooper Cooper knockoff, this fits the bill very well at a great price.Pros:- WORKS! No bs. Cools a 12oz can from room temp to below fridge temps in 2 minutes using just a handful of ice- Very reasonable price- Fits tall cans- Fits bottles- Does not fizz-up carbonated drinks- Extra suction cup included- No water needed! Just the contact of ice directly on the container works- Compact- "No-spill" design (in my experience, the amount of ice used for a single beverage isn't enough to exceed the trough at the bottom)Cons:- WILL NOT WORK with containers that don't have a smooth bottom (uses a suction cup)- Rarely, a container may pop-off the suction cup mid-run, but that's hardly a problem- Lid is useless (can't close it when there's ice; jams it up), only good as a dust cover- Plastic tab to cover hole for bottles is useless (not really needed anyways)- Motor doesn't sound especially durable--------------------Bottom-line, this WORKS for real, zero bs involved. It's just a cheap Cooper Cooler basically, minus the recirculating pump and uses a suction cup. My soda cans go from room temp to colder than my fridge in 2 minutes. You hardly need any ice cubes! Tip: don't shut the lid, adding resistance just jams it up.Even for being as cheap as it is, there was certainly some thought put out for this. It comes with an extra suction cup, the motor slides-out if needbe, and the trough is deep enough to where it never overflowed after getting my can icy-cold! You may need to dump it if you go back-to-back.If you get one, I recommend getting a AA to wall outlet converter, so you don't need to ever replace batteries, and it's handy for other small battery appliances anyways!Overall, it is certainly a bit cheap feeling. The plastic cover for the hole that allows a bottle to fit doesn't even really stay in the device (not needed anyways), the motor doesn't sound like it will last too many years, but otherwise the design fits many can/bottle types, the unit ABSOLUTELY works.

Surprisingly Awesome
Got it for my dad for his birthday and was sort of skeptical but the first time I tried it it worked flawlessly. Got my doors light cold within 40 seconds. I didn't realize you had to keep your finger on thr power button the whole time but that's a minor flawlessly. I recommend this

works great!
love having this. i hate it when someone takes the last pop from the refrigerator and does not replace it with one from the pantry. Now i can still get my cold drink when i want it.

Broke almost instantly
So dumb. I read the reviews and thought I just had to have this. I usually stick my Coke in the ice bin and in 15 minutes it’s perfect.. but it also melts my ice and makes it stick together so I went on the hunt for a beverage cooler. This broke after one use. The piece that holds the suction cup came off. And the one time I did use it- I let it run for a while- it might be fridge cold but as someone who loves super cold drinks - I was NOT impressed

Cheaply made - one of the two cover hinges broke within minutes of me using it
within a few minutes of using the Chillpill, one of the hinges on the plastic cover broke. Please the picture with the red arrow pointing at the broken hinge. Since I am returning it, I'm going to assume the other one will break soon since it will carry all the weight of the cover at an angle. I also had problems with the switch that activates the rotating suction cup. sometimes it worked, and sometimes not. I figured out it has to be depressed in a very specific way for it to stick. Overall, it is something that looks and feels like it won't last very long. I consider this a kitchen appliance and as such, would expect it to be built better. All that said, it actually works. You remove the battery compartment (no batteries included, of course) to which the motor and cup are attached. You attach a 12 ounce can to it and place it in the compartment. Cover it with ice and close the cover. the instructions say spin 1-2 minutes to desired temperature. But you don't really know what the temperature will be and when you touch the can, it will always feel like ice cold water, unless you towel it off and wait for the liquid inside to make the aluminum the same temperature. It would be nice if the instructions tell you what temperature you will achieve with what spinning time. And for $32, that isn't enough for a timer. I used it for 2 minutes and sure enough, the can was cold like it came out of a frig. The can will drip water when you handle it. When you remove the can, larger ice cubes that sat on top or the side of the can will slip to the bottom. So you have to rearrange the ice cubes for the next can because the ice needs to be on top. The instructions say it may not otherwise work. it makes a fair amount of noise, something like a mixer. I'm returning this and will try the alternative, which doesn't handle bottles (this one has an opening to allow a bottle's neck to stick out), and see if it is better made.

Great little gadget!
Bought for my husband for his monster drinks. He has fun with it and it actually works great. Throw in a few ice cubes and your drink and in just a few minutes it's as cold as if it just came out of a cooler full of ice.
