Love it, Get you one!
This night vision monocular is super easy to use, picture quality is amazing. Has a very impressive cast that allows you to see very clearly in the dark, I can't wait to use it during the day to see the difference. It records videos as well. The product comes with a tripod, carrying case, micro SD card and reader. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. Definitely recommend it for anyone that wants night vision, worth the money, shipping was super fast.

150 yards
For the price works great. Good clarity, Easy to use, 0-8 times zoom. Fits in your hand, Adjustable auto off. Very good for a hundred yards to about 150, 200 pushing it Can easily see further if you bring a different infrared light. Me and four friends have them.

Not a monocular
This is a night vision camera, NOT a monocular. You cannot hold it up to your eye and look through it because it is a camera feeding an LCD screen. It has a face-fit light shield around the screen as if it were a monocular - but it isn't. The brightness of the screen will, in fact, ruin your own night vision and make it harder for you to see things immediately around you in the dark, and light yourself for others to see. If you try to put it up to your eye you will see a bright blur that no amount of fiddling with the focus could ever fix. Because it isn't a monocular. The field of view is pretty narrow, lending itself to distance shots.Otherwise, it is a pretty good camera for the price. Image isn't bad. The included battery is rechargeable through the included USB cable and has good battery life. The included microSD card is also nice, as well as the mini tripod which as far as I can tell should be usable with other tripod mount devices and is very sturdy.

The monocular is fine for casual use, but probably not the best for tactical or security uses.
I tried to use this night vision monocular to look around in the dark. I would say it's just okay, probably fine to use for non-critical reasons, like looking at animals, or looking around for fun. I wouldn't recommend it for tactical use.To see in the dark, you pretty much have to turn on the IR light, as the lens doesn't pick up ambient light as well as some of the bigger or more expensive monoculars. This produces a red glow that someone might see, if they are looking directly at the monocular. Also, the viewing screen can only be seen when holding the monocular 2-3 inches away from your eye. The screen becomes blurry if you try to seal your eye around the eyepiece. So, since you have to hold the screen away a few inches, the screen ends up lighting up your face with a glow that people can see.The monocular is probably fine for casual use for fun, but wouldn't be recommended for tactical or security use.

not a monocular device must be held away from the face to view the tiny screen
Not a monocular device or scope. the screen is tiny YET it must be held away from your face to view it. FAR Too distant for my senior eyes to comfortably use for sure. That screen at a distance makes you exposed and lit up so you are not covert in any way since the bright light of the screen is like a flashlight shining on your face at night. This defeats the purpose in many applications since the animal or person would easily see you glowing. Then you cant pan out so the field of view is very tiny and it is hard to stay ON a viewed object or animal. The image gets blurry as you change distance and it must be manually refocused. Even the menu on the tiny screen is so small it is difficult if not impossible to navigate the menus.I am returning this to amazon because it was advertised as a monocular scope and really it is not useful for that purpose as well as difficult to use and focus. Its like using a telescope to view something close up You can not stay on the target or maybe not even find the target at all.

Viewfinder too small.
First off, the night vision adpect DOES work; you can see in the dark. However, I've not yet tried it outside of my house, sp I don't know how well it will do out to greater distances. Still, while it does work within the confines of a home, the viewing window is far too narrow; it's like looking through a cardboard tube and trying to figure out what it is you're actually looking at because everything is "full size". I'm not very familiar with IR use in general, but I'm going to have to find something with closer capabilities, under 20', because this works but not for my situations.
