I learned about Edamame via osteoporosis groups. It contains protein, calcium, and isoflavones, which support bone density and may reduce fracture risk. I eat it, along with calcium-rich foods, and take vitamin D, vitamin K, and calcium supplements to improve my bone health. I lift heavy weights for my size and really like to eat a bag after working out with my trainer. They taste good, have a crunchy texture, and are reasonably priced, which is a plus. I highly recommended.

My daughter loved eating salty snacks. This is a perfect substitute to get crunch of chips without the added calories.

I have a little guilt about giving this product 5 stars. It's just that these edamame beans kind of got me through a difficult time in my life. I feel like that deserves the 5 stars, right? Even though these edamame beans taste a little like flavored cardboard peas, I continued to slog through and eat all 10 packages that came in the box. I know what you're thinking and you're probably right. Just dump them in the trash bin and leave a scathing negative review on Amazon. That's what most red blooded Americans would do. But ingesting these beans into my body was very helpful during this dreadful low-carb diet I was doing. By the way, I just found out that one banana is around 27G of carbohydrate! Did you know that some fruits and vegetables have more carb than you'd think? I didn't. Beans are pretty high in carbs too. But not edamame beans evidently, which is why I bought these sriracha-flavored roasted versions. One of the naughty things I was doing was snacking a bunch after dinner each night. I won't start listing all the disgusting things I was putting into my body after 10pm, but it wasn't just pints of ice cream and cold pizza slices. So I bought the beans to hope to quell that hunger pang at night. When the Only Bean Crunchy Roasted Edamame snacks arrived at my home, I put them in my "secret snack cupboard" downstairs where my wife never looks. But I couldn't resist just closing the door. I had 10 packs so I thought, why not? Let me rip into one and see how my Midnight Snacktime was going to fare that evening. First problem is that these stupid bags are SO difficult to open. And I'm the strongest guy on my block, trust me! I can whip most anyone. But it took me so long to open this little snackpack. Once I got it open (helpful tip: you have to tear DOWN on the top of the bag using one of the ridges), I shoveled eight or nine of them into my mouth and started chewing. Not only do they not taste like sriracha in my opinion, but they really don't leave any sort of appetizing feeling in your mouth. I had to gulp down a bunch of water to get them down. But you know what? I persevered and continued making these stupid edamame beans my nightly snack ritual. I would shovel them in and tell myself that this is best for you. You deserve THIS kind of snack, dude. So in a weird way, I was successful in my low-carb diet because I forced myself to snack on these edamame beans. Were they a sick sort of punishment I gave to myself each night? Yes, that's exactly what it was, but they helped me lose some weight and I had a lot more energy. I'd be curious if maybe the salted flavor would be better than the sriracha though. I'm guessing the flavor isn't doing much overall. So I'd say buy these only if you're doing low-carb and get ready to punish yourself! And stay away from bananas and cauliflower.
