Well packaged. Covered with a thin foam sheet, layered overed with high density foam sheets all around, and in a thick ardboard box. At about 9 pounds, it is not too heavy for the size and thickness. Good workmanship overall as well as appearance. The teak surface does not feel dry, but did use an mineral oil and wax emolusion before using. The teak feels more forgiving on a sharp knife compared to plastic or bamboo. The goove is deep enough contain a significant amount of liquid. The 20" x 15" size, weight, teak wood, and price is ideal for the intended use. Very highly recommended! Would be an appreciated gift for cooking preparation.

Starting with aesthetics, my son in law stated this looks like a charcuterie board it looks so good. The board is 1 1/2" thick, it is hefty. I easily can store on edge. It is perfectly flat, no warping yet. The juice trough on one side is wide and deep. There are two generous hand holds on either side for easy gripping. The flip side is flat. I bought a Food Grade White Mineral Oil for 'seasoning' the wood. I was surprised that a fair amount of a yellow/tan color was removed during the coating with mineral oil. I am hoping this is fine wood particles from the original manufacture. I do recommend washing and oiling thoroughly before the first use. Overall, I am very happy with the quality and the price.

Looks good and doesn’t show cuts or scratches easily. Easy on knives.

Board was smooth out of the box. Appears to be well made. The board is from Vietnam which produces some of the highest quality and sustainably grown teak wood in the world. Put a couple of coats of food-safe mineral oil with bee’s wax on it right away. The wood was thirsty and soaked in the first application quickly. Looks great and is a great addition to the kitchen in both appearance and function. Lots of prep room!

This is by far the best cutting board I have ever owned. The thickness is great and the quality is great.

It was just as advertised. Beautiful, very sturdy, hand grips for carrying and the measurements were actually a bit more than the ad which is a big plus for me. It was a gift to my grandson’s birthday and he was pleasantly surprised. His father bought him a very nice clever for Christmas and his birthday was in March so I thought it would be the perfect gift, and it was! He told me that his cheap board had just broke in half and he was in the market for a real good quality chopping board and voilá. Needless to say, he loved it!

I've been shopping around for a good thick large cutting board for a while now and I finally found it. It's such good quality and so well priced. I got it on sale but even the regular price is fair. It sits on my kitchen island and looks great. I do a lot of chopping and prepping and this is perfect. Don't hesitate.

I ordered 2 Not a smart thing to do on here I know considering some of the false advertising and the price of the items Anyway… they arrived I would question whether they are real teak, the grain isn’t straight at all and one board is extremely heavy and the other is light as a feather I wouldn’t recommend buying them off this site, better luck at Canadian Tire

Giant board Bought some silicone stick on door bumpers for underneath. Sits on counter like a dream! We had a section of heavy traffic counter that need this so badly.

It is quite heavy.
