MAYBELLINE SuperStay Matte Ink - Lover

Stays put and the nude shade is fab - I wear this all the time! It is matte so you do have to put gloss over the top if you want a shiny finish, but I also think it looks nice without.

I’m quite surprised at how lovely this is. I originally got the huntress (grey) for Halloween, but am now tempted to buy a few others for everyday wear. I found huntress to be a warm grey, and blended on my lips to form a very natural (walking dead) look, although more could be applied for a more solid gothic look. It was matte. It also lasted pretty much all day, so had really impressive staying power.

I am so addicted to to maybeillne lipstick because cit is long lasting and stay on long time . and so pigmented . Also no feel freaky or dryness on lips really good.👍 also it us easy to used with travel friendly. You can easily remove with any miceller water or makeup remover.

Put it on sparingly and carefully and it lasts and lasts

Not the colour or the consistency I expected but that's my fault as I should have checked in store before purchasing. I normally like Maybelline products which is why I bought without checking, but even if the colour had been right, I found it really drying and sticky. Within MINUTES of applying it had gone patchy in the corners of my mouth, and exaggerated the wrinkles! It obviously has staying power as it was really difficult to remove, even though it was all cakey by this time. Had to use olive oil to remove as, because it was such a horrible,patchy,cakey mess, I couldn't even apply one of my darker lipsticks to it. It was cheaper than in Boots or Superdrug but at £6.50 definitely not a bargain!Since writing this review I have checked the reviews on the Boots website to see if anyone else had the same negative experience as me, or whether I'd applied if wrong or received a "dodgy"one! Even though it received an overall rating of 4.2 &83.10 customers recommended it, the unfavourable reviews were from customers who experienced EXACTLY the same negative effects as me...drying,patchy, cakey and difficult to remove. The wrong colour was also mentioned so perhaps it wasn't just me buying online without checking.My advice is check in store, & wear for at least an hour. I love the Revlon Colourstay ink lipstick which I have no bad reaction to, but have just looked at reviews & some customers have exactly the same issues with that as I have with the Maybelline one!This just confirms my point re " try before you buy"

I was recommended this lipstick. Put it on this morning at 8:30 with lip liner to stop it from bleeding & I have drunk, eaten meals & it still looks freshly applied. It is a bit gloopy to apply so don’t load the applicator. I had to use eye make up remover to get it off tonight but it was no different than ordinary lipstick to remove. Lips slightly stained pink. Stayed looking fresh for 12.5 hours. I kept checking to see if it had worn off but it hadn’t. Probably could have lasted longer. A big thumbs up.
