An excellent lightweight stand and windshield for trangia alcohol stove 🔥
This is an excellent flat packed lightweight stove that works perfectly with the trangia alcohol stove that just slots into position in the centre of the triangle once put together. The trangia triangle is just 3 pieces of metal that slot together easily in seconds around a centre circular piece that just slots into the slots On each piece and once all locked in place it provides a stand and windshield for camp cooking , Bushcraft, fishing , for making a quick brew or even cooking a substantial meal outdoors. It offers wind protection and a stand for pots and pans of various sizes, sauce pans , frying pans, kettles. The trangia alcohol stove is a cheap fuel stove that fits the triangle perfectly and runs on bio ethanol fuel. It packs down as flat as a pancake in a rugged storage pouch , a lightweight stove perfect for wild camping. It is easy to dismantle after using and can be stored easily in a backpack pocket , hood pocket easily, it's very compact and lightweight.

The missing link for the mini
The trangia triangle is the perfect companion to the trangia mini, which base is a terrible wind screen and so you end up a carrying another one, so replace with this and the set is perfect, works well with kettle too and pots.

Excellent but overpriced
I have always used gas for cooking when touring, but having heard people endlessly extolling the virtues of Trangia cooking, when a Trangia compatible burner came up at a reasonable price in a local store, I thought I would try it out on a cycle tour of Brittany which I was planning to make. You could use the burner unit on its own, but you have to fiddle about trying to prop the cooking pan up, so the Trangia triangle seemed like the perfect piece of kit to add. And so it turned out to be: very light in weight, effective and easy to assemble, once you work out your own technique for sliding the ring into place. My only criticism is its inflated price. Hopefully you only ever have to buy it once, as there's nothing much to break or go wrong. The French equivalent of meths is ' alcool a bruler', available in any supermarket or quincaillerie, which burns much more cleanly. It's cheaper too. Worth bringing a bottle or two back.

Great quality
I was pleased with both the fast delivery and the fact that this item had all the parts intact. The last time I ordered the same item from a different seller, I was disappointed with the long wait and that a crucial part of the Trangia triangle ( the ring) was missing! It is helpful to have a step by step photo guide showing how to set it up. It is very easy to put up and pack away. Easy to use andvreplaces onevi i had, and lost, 15 years ago. I appreciate the small drawstring carry bag. I would recomend this item and seller. Thanks

Doesn’t weigh much, packs flat, adds versatility… superb
A great piece of kit on its own or to supplement other Trangia kit (or other manufacturer). Got this as it’s relatively light, packs flat and easy-ish to assemble. The metal feels quite thin and springy when assembling/disassembling, but it’s robust enough. This adds versatility to my cook kit - an additional burner for the Trangia 25 (so you can use multiple pans simultaneously), or instead of the terrible burner stand that comes with the Trangia Mini, or in its own with the pan stand.

Compact, easy to light/set up - ideal for boiling water.
Trangia stoves /cooking systems are light weight, easy to clean, easy to set up work in most conditions. The whole system (minus fuel) can easily be placed inside most kettles. Boiling water very efficiently - difficult to control flame temperature - only one setting so fine cooking is out of the question unless you keep moving the pan. This system was purchased for my brother (preferred cooking system). Months of use later (Fishing by the lakes, rivers in multiple weather and temperatures: UK) it has not let us down. In fact although I prefer MSR multi-fuel systems for actual camping trips I do usually end up using the Trangia system for boiling the kettle. The ease of set up and speed of ignition (no hand pumping fuel cylinders required) means that we utilise this system the most during our fishing trips in the field (UK). The only slight issue is that this compact design does not give much wind protection-leading to greater fuel consumption so you will need fashion your own windshield to enable good fuel economy and quicker boil times.

A superb lightweight cook base and windshield
Bought this to use as a lightweight burner and windshield base for the standard Trangia burner, easy to put together and very simple so should last a long time with proper care. I do find the pot rests are spaced too far apart for smaller pots - an oversight considering this is most likely to be used for a solo/lightweight camping scenario where smaller pots are the norm though it's easily solved by using two camping pegs across the stand and placing pots on the pegs (as pictured). The bag the burner comes with is typical Trangia quality and it's roomy enough to fit some other small items such as a folding spork, burner and pot cleaner. I've heard comments from others that this is overpriced for what it is - essentially a few pieces of thin slotted steel, but I don't begrudge paying for what is undoubtedly a cracking little lightweight base and windshield that packs down small and is made to the usual high Trangia standards.
