Cross Blue Pen
A beautifully made pen, easy to hold and I think my hand writing has improved

Beautiful red colour, comfortable barrel shape and size for older hand
I bought this as a replacement for a slightly different Cross pen I thought I had lost. Deliberately chose the colour to find easily on a desk or in a meeting. I particularly like the fatness of this pen. It’s not really fat but when you have older, mildly arthritic hands it’s much easier to use for a longer period.

Cross quality again!
Having sadly lost my last Cross biro, I ordered this as a replacement. They just feel so much nicer than ordinary pens and worth every penny. This one is very slightly slimmer with a finer writing point but still as good. Recommended but make sure your inside pocket is done up so it won’t fall out!

A beautiful piece of craftsmanship!
It writes incredibly, feels amazing to write with as well as looking just like £300 + montblanc pens, at a fraction of the cost - and having been an owner of mont blanc pens I can truly say that I prefer this one. The only reason I leave four stars is because I have found that the cap of the pen comes off very easily when you try and clip it or clip it from a pocket, it could be more secured in place with a twisting mechanism as well as the ink in the cartridge not lasting for very long and having to be replaced.

A very likable pen.
The Cross brand has met my writing requirements for many years now. This version of the Bailey pen has the same build quality and so long as you can secure OEM refills will last for many years. I have a silver/gold version of the same pen, which I've been using daily for nearly 15 years, so they have stood the test of time.

Cross Bailey - the best ballpoint I own
I bought one of these pens for my wife and was so impressed with is, I bought one for myself.A well made ballpoint pen with a brass skeleton encased in a smooth plastic barrel skin which you rotate to reveal/retract the nib. It is a well balanced pen and the shape, thickness of the barrel and heft inspires confidence when writing. Ink coverage is even and the writing action smooth. To replace the ink you have to separate the barrel from the top of the pen (the part which holds the clip) by pulling the two parts away from each other in a smooth but reassuringly resistant action, this reveals the top of the refill (black plastic) which you unscrew from the silver-coloured metal housing, insert the refill and reverse the action to put the pen back together. The pen deserves 5 stars, but there is one (small) thing which I think would make it even better: the word CROSS is stamped on the clip and if you are right-handed it reads CROSS when writing. However, if you are left-handed, as I am, it reads CROSS upside-down. I wrote to Cross suggesting they stamped their clips with the word CROSS, vertically, but was told it is complicated changing the template. A small point but minor improvements are improvements. I still give it 5 stars.

Instruction sheet needs improvement.
This is a really beautiful pen and is fully deserving of five stars. My only quibble is regarding the instruction sheet that comes with it. The print is very small, in a number of languages and covering a range of products, not just this one. Looking at the pen, and ignoring the instructions, it is pretty clear what you have to do to change the refill and replace it with a new one, but it wasn't that easy! The old one didn't want to budge and I was on the point of using a pair of pliers to get it out when it finally decided to unscrew. What should have taken a few seconds took about ten minutes because the refill was screwed in so tight and I didn't want to risk damaging the pen. Apart from that the pen is brilliant!
