Teach: A Survival Guide for New Educators
S**.
Are you looking to improve your abilities as a new educator? Then you should read this book.
I became familiar with the author first on her YouTube channel. Just from the videos alone, I learned so much in such a short time. The author is a master educator. She has experience teaching in the classroom, and served in school administration positions, etc. Her Book Teach:....., is filled with the author's personal challenges and struggles she faced as a new teacher and how she herself employed these techniques to become a commanding teacher that had full control of the classroom so that the focus can be placed on improving academic achievement. The author also has great study guides that help teachers prepare for their certification exams in a way that helps you think like a test maker, not a test taker. What a great book! I highly recommend it!

Engaging Book
I am thoroughly enjoying reading this book. I have laughed and gained necessary information to further develop my teaching skills. I am currently a substitute teacher aspiring to gain my teaching certifications and I can feel that this book is going to be of great assistance. I have read the first three chapters and find the book to be easily readable and engaging. With constant tips and reflections, this is a great book for those new educators who are looking for more assistance.

THE REAL PD YOU NEED!!!
Even though I went through a traditional teaching program, I found this book so helpful. I bought this book before my first year of teaching, then read it after my first year and am blown away by how might insight and concrete tips this book includes in conversational language. Now I feel much more prepared going into my second year of teaching with some ideas on how to improve my practice. I plan on rereading my annotations in this book and reference it as I bulk plan over the summer and teach throughout the school year. Kathleen Jasper prepared me for my certification exams and now she prepared me to hone my practice. She never fails!! Buy the book!!

A must have if you are a first time teacher.
I cannot say enough good things about this book. I discovered Kathleen Jasper a year and a half ago when I was studying for my Praxis exams. Her YouTube videos were amazingly helpful with that process. I also purchased her Praxis study guide and I am confident I easily passed all my Praxis exams because of Kathleen's videos and guides. Her advice is simple and practical. She has tons of experience in the field of education.Once I graduated with my degree I went back to YouTube to watch her videos to help me get ready for the interviewing process and that is when I saw that she had recently published a book. I did not think twice about it and immediately bought, Teach: A Survival Guide for New Educators. Being a first-time teacher is not an easy task and this book is perfect to calm your concerns and help you focus on what is important. It helped me to figure out what I needed to know about what sort of teacher I am before I started interviewing so that I could express it perfectly in my interviews. It definitely is a survival guide and I highly recommend it.

Practical advice about what to put your focus on as a new teacher
The best thing about this book is it doesn't dwell on theoretical concepts like so many books and courses do. Instead, it tells you in practical terms what you need to do to be a successful teacher. The examples are really helpful. It is a quick read so you don't get overwhelmed. It's full of ideas that you can use in your classroom tomorrow. I appreciated the tips on setting boundaries so that teaching doesn't consume your life and you have work life balance as a new teacher.

Teach: The Survival Guide, gave me confidence.
I like the writing style, Dr. Jasper writes at a level that is easy to understand, relatable and I like that she inserts quotes from various individuals. Dr. Jasper truly wants career changers, such as myself to succeed, but she knows it is difficult and explains things perfectly. Her complimentary videos are also very helpful. Thank you for being an outstanding resource… I appreciate your efforts to close the gap on the teacher shortage.
