I wanted to get away from plastic containers of shaving cream, so I bought this set to try shaving with soap. I have been using it for 6 months now. I really like the shave I get. I think the soap is better to shave with than shaving cream or foam I have used in the past. The stand is light, but effective. The metal bowl has not changed color, nor has the stand. I seem to get a very sufficient lather from the Anbbas soap using this bowl. The bristles are soft, and the small handle fits my hand really well. The only downside is the discoloration of the wood under the metal edge. This has not affected anything except visually. The soap does not have a fragrance. I don't see that as a downside. From what I have read, the fragrance only lasts for the duration of the shave, and washing off the soap washes off the fragrance. I'm glad Anbbas helpled me make the switch to wet shaving June 2024 I bought a few other brushes and soaps in the last 6 months to try. I recently came back to this brush and soap, and found I like this soap better than the two other soaps I have tried (one of which is 3 times the cost of Anbbas). The soap makes a nice lather, and the brush is just as good, if not better, than all the other 5 I have bought. I will definitely keep this soap on hand

This is a very nice item. I have unfortunately dropped and broken two shaving bowls which were ceramic. So nice to have one that’s durable. The workmanship is superb.

I like the starter set but the brush is not the best quality. The soap smells good and lathers well. I’ll use the brush until it starts to lose hair and then I will look for a higher quality brush. Overall the stand and bowl are great.

Getting the best shave I've had in years!

This is my first shaving brush, and I'm happy with it so far. It makes a good lather, and has a nice stand to hang and dry on. I've seen reviews of these natural bristle brushes that mention bad smells or loss of bristles, but I haven't experienced either of those things with this brush. Overall, with the brush, bowl, soap and stand, this is a very nice kit for the money.

Not going to lie, for a while I got caught up with the whole ASMR barber/shaving videos on YT, and I started wondering if having a true shave brush and shave soap made a difference with the shaving experience vs. using shaving cream from a can. I can honestly say, this is definitely the way to go!! My skin isn't difficult by any means, but wow does Anbbas make a difference. The soap develops into a really good lather (and I've used different styles of soaps), but the winner is definitely the brush with these badger bristles. It feels so smooth and stimulating when you rotate it across your face. It's smooth and makes that soap becoming a thick lather so worth it. Application is smooth, gentle, and layers in nice and thick as you work the brush. The holding frame and the cup just compliment it, allowing for good drying and holding of the brush/soap when in and out of use. The scent is clean and it all lasts quite a while, especially when you realize you don't need a ton of soap to get the lather you need. Just make sure you're starting with a warm, wet face, and the brush/soap will take care of the rest. These will definitely make awesome Christmas presents or just because gifts for those guys who enjoy putting a razor on their face to shave. And this tends to do well against those who typically see shaving bumps...this will help alleviate that issue.

I was using an old brush handed down from my grandfather. It was missing half of its hairs but it was still working fine. But I needed a replacement cause the wood handle was cracked and I lost it recently. I got used to using the brush, I feel like it softens the hair before a shave. This brush feels better and much nicer than my old one. It might be rough at the moment, but it might soften a little bit the more I use it. Having a stand for it is the best thing, it dries and it can stay in its spot. The lather bowl is good but I would’ve been perfect if it had a grip or a place to put a finger through so it doesn’t fall off the hand easily. I’ve never used a soap bar before, it works well and it has a nice smell to it. The product feels and works like it was made with quality materials. It’s worth the price. I’ll check in a month and share a new opinion if needed

This is a great starter set to get you started on improving your shave. I had been using shaving cream in an aerosol can for as long as I have been shaving, but always had issues with irritation even after trying several different brands. Using a brush and shaving soap is a great way to easily improve your shave. I found using a brush and shave soap helped my shave feel more comfortable and felt less irritation after the shave. As well the shaving cream that comes in an aerosol can hurts the environment, so using a brush with a cream or soap is a good way to help the environment and get a better shave. The Pros: -You get everything you need (brush, bowl, drying stand for brush and shave soap) to get started at a good price point. -The brush is decent quality, feels comfortable and is the best part of the kit. The Cons: -The brush does have a strong odor, but goes away with use. -The shave soap it comes with is good, but there are better soaps and creams out there. Of course, once the soap is gone you can use any other soap or cream you want with the kit. Bottom-line: I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to improve their shave.

Après presque un an d'utilisation je suis très satisfait du blaireau et de son support. Quelques poils tombent mais rien de comparable avec d'autres achetés auparavant. Le support permet de le faire sécher les poils vers le bas ce qui je pense améliore sa longévité. Le savon à barbe mousse bien et à une odeur neutre agréable
