Well made and works perfectly with the other GW lawn tools
Well made and a good value for the price. I purchased the GreenWorks blower with two 40v batteries and the pole hedge trimmer as well so the whole system works quite well together and has already paid for itself after using it several times on first month instead of paying gardener to do this job. All well made and easy to use.

Simple, Effective & Easy to Use
Great bit of kit. Easy to use, loads of battery life and cuts extremely well, with the convenience of fully remote use.

Good quality but not as adjustable as expected.
I bought this as my old corded black and decker finally gave up! Decided to go for the more powerful 40v as I intend also to get a mower which I thought would need the extra power for that and the main advantage of this system is the interchangeability of the batteries. First I should compliment Amazon and the seller for the very prompt delivery and good packaging. Opening the box all the pieces were well packed. Instructions were easy to follow and assembly straightforward. The only point I make about that is that my model has a foam grip on the shaft just above where the secondary handle attaches which means there is in fact no room for adjusting that handle up or down the shaft. That said the position was fine for me. The shaft itself comes in two pieces which connect together the top slipping over the bottom and secured by a pop up steel button which locks into a hole in the top sleeve and the joint is then further secured by a clamp with a large wing nut. This is where I have the main problem: if you want to change the angle of the cutting head from trim to edge you have to undo the clamp, depress the (very stiff) steel button, and then rotate the handle section. However there is no corresponding location hole for the steel button when the head is rotated in this fashion so the only method of securing it is to tighten the clamp. This works fine however I cannot help but think that it is not in fact designed to be rotated in this way. It is notable there are no instructions in the leaflet for how to rotate the head and nothing on the manufacturer’s website which suggests it is in fact rotatable. I charged the battery and used it for the first time today. In use the first thing to say is this is quite a large tool and very heavy. It is very robust and build quality is excellent. However I did find it heavy. It is powerful and I could probably have managed with the less powerful 24v model as all I am using it for is trimming and edging a lawn but if you did have more substantial undergrowth to manage this would cope with ease. I do think it would benefit from a shoulder harness however. The Auto line feed worked well. The only problem was that due to the weight it was easy to let the head drop too low which meant ploughing rather than trimming. I also found the top handle awkward and would have preferred a pistol grip. Given the difficulty changing to edging mode I went round twice once trimming then edging. It is very irritating that a simple push button and twist has not been incorporated as my old b and d had. All in all it is a quality item and very powerful but practically not as adjustable as I had expected from the description.

Heavy but very good
Ordered this after buying the lawn mower from this brand and being blown away by the quality. We wanted to go wireless on all our tools, being able to use the same batteries is of course a huge plus. This strimmer represents the brand as well as the lawn mower does; really solid and strong, there is no weed too thick or resilient for this thing. It has 2 wires for cutting so it very quickly chews through weeds and grass and has never sounded like it struggled at all. It is very heavy though, I will say that. I consider myself to be above average strong for a woman, but my arms and hands were absolutely knackered after doing our garden edges. I think I need to fashion some sort of belt loop to help me hold it for the times my husband isn't home to do the strimming for me. It was very easy to assemble out of the box and I had plenty of battery left after doing the strimming.

It's powerful - at least as small petrol strimmer
Initially unsure as to whether a cordless strimmer would be up to the job as I had only use petrol strimmers before, this machine certainly changed my mind very quickly. Its very easy to assemble and, after an hour charging the battery, it was ready to go. Due to circumstances the area of garden needing cutting was thigh high and I was expecting the usual problem of grass wrapping itself around the head. But this machine is just so powerful that it ripped itself free on every occasion and just just kept going. The battery, under heavy use, lasted about 40 minutes, so not ideal for very large areas but perfect for a medium sized garden. The battery takes less than an hour to be fully charged from flat which is pretty good. The biggest take from this review is how powerful this strimmer is. It's not sold as a brush cutter but it's pretty close. Overall, I'm very impressed and so pleased that I don't have to suffer that awful experience of trying to start a bloody petrol engine!

Excellent strimmer at the price!
I bought a “used like new” model with two 40v batteries and a charger. The box had been opened, but everything was as described, no evidence of use or batteries being charged. It went together well, instructions easy to follow. Battery charged up in half an hour and first impressions are that it is a powerful strummer, more oomph than my old Flymo mains one. It balances slightly nose heavy but not really an issue. Build quality is okay, clearly not up to Makita quality but it didn’t cost £850 pounds either, but ideal for my smallish garden. I’ll buy the hedge trimmer next.

Reasonably light and easy to use
The strimmer seems to very capable and copes with my garden. I went for Greenworks because I have other tools and didn't need yet another battery and charger. It does a good job of keeping the difficult to mow bits of the garden trimmed and seems reasonable capable of dealing with the more neglected areas on a single charge (it's usually about 50% when done). I like that it is no more noisy than any other electric strimmer and not having a cable to trip over or find an extension for is a bonus. It would be nice it had a rotating head for edging but this was never a deal breaker.
