Bought to go with camera to ensure when released and using in water it floats to the surface and easy to find with yellow handle

Package arrived on time which was great. The handle itself is smaller than I'd expected, however still a good size to hold - not really a complaint here. What is the problem?... It DOESN'T float. I bought this to go with my sister's Kitvision camera, so this handle is meant for the camera. She tried it out in the water, and it didn't float. That was the whole reason I bought it, it clearly states that it is "Floating". If I'd known it didn't float I probably wouldn't have bothered buying it, there are a lot more (cheaper) handle/grips out there. Pretty disappointed in this product to be honest. The only saving grace is that it comes with a hand strap, but if you dropped the camera in the sea/lake your hand will probably come out of the strap too, so you can say bye bye to your camera.

Feels a bit cheap and just about floats but expensive for what it is there are much cheaper versions around

I bought the Kitvision Buoy to use with my Go Pro Hero 4, it was an excellent substitute to the Go Pro accessories that are far more expensive but do the exact same job. I have heard good things about KitVision from friends and for the money I wasn’t hesitant at all to try it and honestly I can’t recommend it enough.I took this with me when I went to Bali as I knew I would be doing some water sports and this really was a life saver! We went rafting, diving and swam with dolphins and we were able to take photos and videos that we will treasure forever. Whenever the water got a bit rough and we lost grip of the buoy, we soon found it thanks to the bright yellow colour making it so easy to spot and obviously because it was bobbing on the water’s surface! We also used it partly like a selfie stick as it was so easy to keep a hold of because of the textured grip handle. I prefer having this on the camera rather than just holding the camera itself. I feel more secure knowing it will be found easily whenever I do drop it because I’m extremely clumsy and would be devastated to lose all the photographic memories at the bottom of the sea! Thankfully the wrist strap that also comes with this makes this less likely to happen. Such a good accessory to take away with you and it’s so light weight that it won’t eat into your precious luggage allowance!It’s worth mentioning as well that it’s so easy to screw onto the Go pro even I could do it and I’m not great with this kind of thing usually. It took not even two minutes and it was sturdy and secure. It says on the packaging (which is very smart looking and easy to get into by the way) that it’s also compatible with older versions of the Go Pro and all the Kitvision action cameras too which is good to know because my friend has a Kitvision camera and she’s asked to borrow the buoy for her snowboarding holiday which I’m sure it’ll be very handy for as the yellow will be easy to spot in the snow!In conclusion, this product alone has made me trust in the Kitvision brand as its durable, well made, does the job and the price I can’t argue with. I’m definitely going to be looking into more accessories for my camera for future holidays etc.

This is an essential accessory for anyone wanting to get the full out of their GoPro (or other action camera). I have been using it with my Hero 3+ for a few weeks now and cant recommend it enough.Firstly you notice that the extension pole is very well built (which is something very important when you are going to be using this product to hold an expensive camera+footage well beyond your reach), the pole doesn't bend at all even when fully extended and locks into place securely. To lock to a certain length you twist it clockwise (untwist to unlock), this can be done at any length.The product comes with a rubber grip at the bottom, this is made from a fairly hard rubber but this is not an issue as the raised sections allow it to have a great feel and loads of grip. As well as this it comes with a wrist strap securely attached to the base which is adjustable and gives extra security.One of my favorite features of this extension pole over most others I have seen is the remote holder which you can attach directly above the grip to allow for one handed use. The remote holder fits my GoPro remote very securely and I would have no worries of it falling off (see images).A feature that I have unexpectedly discovered is the tripod mount on the bottom of the pole, this can be accessed by unscrewing the bottom piece that the wrist strap is attached to. This allows the pole to be used with any standard tripod in order to get a much higher point of view and works really well - see my attached photo.The extension pole has a semi Matt black finish coated on it, this gives it a clean professional look. At first i worried that this finish may become scratched and begin to look ugly but the finish appears to be tough and very resistant to scratches - I have used it for two weeks and their are no noticeable scratches yet.Overall I would definitely recommend this product for anyone with a GoPro or similar action camera.
