Best laser light ever
I have bought 4 of these lights. I have tried others that quickly stop working after getting knocked around by cats. I have these in several rooms at different heights to vary the location of the laser. They have been knocked around, attacked, and everything a cat can do to a toy. It is a toy both my adult cats and kittens enjoy. They will meow at me and look at the toy wanting me to turn it on. One of two toys I have found they don't get tired off. A must have at my house.

Good Circling Laser Toy
This product has been really beat up by getting kicked around over the years, so while the crystal on top broke in half a year or two back we were still able to use it. Then the mirror broke out but we just glued it back in and it kept on as usual. Through all this the laser and main body of the product stayed in great condition. I wish the product were able to be more random and allowed for periodic play without us having to activate it. It is also a bit noisy, but not obtrusively so and gets the cats attention when they hear it.

NO MORE ‘Hide n Seek’ !!!
One and half weeks ago I adopted two “young” kittens from my local animal rescue/shelter. I have yet to see one of them (the black one) scepter for a few scoots across the floor to under a chair. Kahlua (in the picture) has come out of hiding and is chasing the laser, trying to step on it with her paws or snag it. It’s hilarious! At the onset I was told they had been raised and cared for at the shelter in cat condos and that I needed to “give it at least 2 weeks” before, hopefully, they will both feel safe enough to venture from under the sofa! This cat laser REALLY, REALLY works. As I said, they’ve never been out of the condos. That’s what I was told, so they’ve never had this kinda room, meaning the whole house. THIS ITEM brought one of the Shyest kittens I’ve ever owned or seen. So, PLEASE take my word, IT WORKS and is hilarious. Set your phone on video and try not laugh so loud that you scare it away. I use the RANDOM button because it goes around &’back, but it’s never the same. with the laser where it’s to just turning it...it has an AUTOMATIC TIME LIMIT (not sure yet) but somewhere between 5-10 minutes, maybe 15. I give it FIVE STARS....5+ **********

It got returned
Loved the idea but it didn't meet my expectations of getting the cat to play with it.One of three of my cats sat there and watched the laser go in circles. The other two wanted nothing to do with it and was suspicious of the noise it made. The top spins and makes a noise that got the attention of the cat more than the laser. The speeds aren't really that different. Slow and slower would be my assessment. And the random was more like the same as the other with maybe a reverse of direction. I'm not sure the slight difference but it sure wasn't random.

My cat is in love with this.
I have an old gal (15+ yrs old) and a 2 yrs old rambunctious male. The old gal will sometimes swat at a laser dot if I played it on or near her paws, but the young guy lives up to his name - Turbo - playing with one. But, it's hand numbing holding down a little button, and I would get tired out before he would. This gizmo has saved my hands, and keeps him moving all while activated.I set it up at the edge of the living room, in a hall entryway, so the dot bounces off a wall, into a darkish hallway, into the living room, and under a sofa. Set on random, and the four completely different places the dot travels has him mesmerized. He gets to do the" before I pounce butt wiggle" much more with this than he could with me. As others have mention I do need to figure out a way to make it less prone to getting knocked over in his enthusiasm. He finds the movement of the diamond almost as interesting as the red dot. It's also a bit comical to watch him sitting in deep concentration looking at the gizmo after it shuts off, must be wondering where did the dot go. Worth the money.

This works pretty well
This toy only does the laser light, but it does that pretty well. It's simple and easy to work, and the kittens enjoy it. The pattern varies quite a bit which keeps them engaged. Maybe not for super long periods, but it does amuse them for awhile. It's also a quiet toy which is kind of nice. (Some of the other devices we have make a lot of noise.) It can tip over, but that doesn't seem to happen often, maybe because the focus is on following the light rather than capturing the device itself. And it seems solid, not that fragile. For a price point of just under $14, I think it's a good buy.
