Springbok's 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle Oh Buoy!, Multi

My great-nephew is very intelligent and has a keen eye. He is mechanically inclined and enjoys working on very detailed oriented projects. Last year I gave him a model car kit (ages 12 to adult) that I thought he could work on with his grandfather but instead took out the directions, read them through, laid out the parts and then all by himself put assembled it all on his own. This puzzle may have only been 500 pieces but the picture detail was such that I thought it would be a challenge. He loved the picture (since his dad is into boats & fishing).

Arrived with two missing edge pieces

The puzzle was fun to do and the colors are really nice but like many before me mentioned the photo on the box does not line up which made us feel a bit jipped. Overall it is very sturdy and we enjoyed that the pieces were not uniformly shaped as it gave the 500 pcs a nice challenge.

Pieces were not as thick and sturdy as the old ones. The cut shapes were accurate, left no doubt as to fit! I enjoyed doing it, but could not get my husband to join me- said his family never did them. It was our favorite occupation on a rainy day at the beach. Later my older cousin taught me to play “Battleship” the old way on graph paper, but puzzles we’re always out on a table. I found some to give away when I helped prepare my late mother’s house for sale a few years ago. Hmmm, maybe I should have kept them!

I love Springbok Puzzles because the pieces are real sturdy and click in nice and solidly. They are also all unusual and different shapes from each other so besides matching the pictures you can match a shape to a hole in your puzzle. Great fun.

While having each puzzle piece a unique shape sounds difficult, it seemed easier than some other puzzles with multiple identical shapes each one of which, except for its different picture content, can fit many different places in a puzzle. Anyway, the close up of the upper left corner gives you an idea of what the manufacturer means when they write "Each piece in a Springbok puzzle is unique - no two are alike."

Loved working puzzles with my children, just work them out of boredom during the pandemic. Takes away the empty hours and is a challenge. Pieces are sturdy and are uniquely designed for adultsHaven’t worked one in awhile? Adventure back again to calmer times.

The image on the box lid was not the exact image on puzzle.Usually a paper copy is included inside puzzle box. Not so with this puzzle.Puzzle edges roughly cut.Too bad, I used to think springbok was a great puzzle company.

Can't believe this is Springbok. The quality is horrible. The puzzle piece edges are fuzzy, and there's so much dust and actual debris, plus the usual click is missing, when putting two pieces together. Worst quality puzzle I've ever seen. Returned.

Missing 2 pieces and had 2 other pieces that we in duplicate

The pieces were really hard to put in I had to presses them down so hard I thought I might break them.

The puzzle I received has the same picture but is not Springbok it is a wooden jigsaw puzzle and the shape of the pieces look identical to me.
