Keeps them amused..
Push the tummy and the ball fires out… quite a loud pop and you think it is going to be sorer than it actually is! Kept the kids amused although the toddler thinks she can put the ball in her mouth and push her tummy and it’ll come out - balls are pretty small and choking size so just keep an eye on any younger kids with them

Sheer joy and laughter
I bought three of these, crocodile, unicorn and cow, for my grandchildren who live abroad, their ages are 5 and 2 (twins). They were delighted when they received them and have played with them constantly since. It’s hard to explain the sheer pleasure and true laughter from the twins, their mother and us grandparents, when they were being used during a FaceTime session, such moments are priceless. They must be good quality and hard wearing to withstand at least a month of constant use by the children, and during that time there have been no safety issues as expressed in a previous review.

Very loud
This was bought to do attention autism. It's a great idea and really cute design but when you press its belly to send the ball flying it goes sooo fast you can't see it and makes a big pop noise that's almost more like a bang.I probably wouldn't suggest it to children who don't like the noise, it's definitely going to make them jump and you can't see where the ball goes as it goes so fast and so far!Do not point it at anyone! That would hurt! It's a fun idea but probably suited to certain children.

Naughty Penguin!
It's dead simple. Stuff a small black 'hard' foam ball into the penguins mouth, squeeze & off the ball flies! The ball burping bird is around 135mm high 70mm or so wide. Made of hard rubber with bright orange beak & feet it's quite sweet. It stands without wobbling upon it's feet. The balls are quite small at around 20mm wide & made of a hard foam. There are 6 of them & a little net to keep them in. Losing them is all too easy so keep track of where they go. I can't help but feel a brighter colour would be nicer & more easily found. A softer foam just wouldn't fly as far. The harder you squeeze the belly the further the ball travels. This has it's limits, educational? Well a simple explanation of the physics of flight, gravity & entropy I suppose! The balls are pretty small so I wouldn't be inclined to leave them anywhere little ones & if your nipper is inclined to 'point & shoot' then one of these projectiles at full pelt, up close & in the eyeball may cause an injury, (yes I know it's obvious but ...).The penguin itself looks pretty durable but as I say it's losing the foam balls that is likely to bring the fun to an end.Given a hefty squeeze your little Antarctic pal will spit a ball a fair old distance, especially indoors without much wind resistance. A gentle game of tag, catch or even potty 'cricket' are all do-able.A simple toy that'll give 30 minutes or so fun every now & then. It does everything you can expect & is a jolly little object at a reasonable price.

Fun for older kids but very unsafe for younger ones
Bought this for a penguin-mad pre-school child for Christmas, as it looked like a fun toy. And it is! You pop the rubber ball in its mouth and squeeze it and it launches with a pop. Hours of entertainment, if you like that kind of thing. Here's the problem though. The balls are a really terrible size - about two-thirds the size of a ping-pong ball. In other words, the exact size of a childs' windpipe. Should a youngster decide to mimic the penguin by sticking the ball in their mouth, and take a deep breath to launch it... well, you can probably see where this is going. The thought of this really terrified me so the toy has been hidden away. The packaging says 3+, but I probably wouldn't suggest it for any child under the age of about 8, and even then I would want to supervise at all times. If the balls had been made bigger, ping-pong ball size or larger, it'd be great. But the little balls are just the utterly wrong size and if they ended up being accidentally swallowed or inhale would block their airway completely and be impossible to dislodge. So there we have it.
