I used the Saffron this weekend and my paella. I gave a great yellow color and flavor. It desolved easily and did not need to use water. Great quality will definitely buy it again when I run out of this one.

Many of those who I’ve seen have bad reviews seem to do so of ignorance of the two distinct types. This is not the type meant for middle-eastern dishes and such. Instead it is a truly fragrant and flavorful strain meant for dishes such as traditional saffron buns and the like made in Sweden, Norway, and England. In the photos, the saffron had been soaking for a few hours. I was following the excessive soaking my grandmother’s saffron buns recipe calls for and soaked overnight. Getting busy the next day, it sat soaking until late afternoon and the saffron itself STILL had flavor and color to it. Although I did not get the recipe right, the saffron shone well. The scent is magnificent and coloring of the buns perfect. The flavoring delicate, but obvious and distinct. With the quality of this saffron, I was highly surprised at the amount provided. It was easily 3-5 times the amount I’ve seen for the same price point at local stores. I will definitely continue to purchase this product. As for suggesting it for others, however, it really depends on what type of dish you are making. You may need the other type of saffron, but this is perfect for the dishes that call for this type.

So happy with this product! My sister is an excellent cook who really enjoys playing with new spices. She's stayed away from Saffron due to the cost so when I saw this I swooped it up for her as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. The packaging is very nicely done with the tin having a tight seal. The spices look and smell lovely. Was also very pleasantly surprised at the speed of delivery getting it a few days earlier than anticipated. I did the save and subscribe so I can replenish this for her as she runs out. I feel it's a great value for the product and look forward to eating the meals she'll create from it.

The quality is good. Good color. Good Flavor. It's what Spanish Saffron should be. I finally found my Saffron of choice & I have already reordered a few times. Enjoy
