Ottertools - Turnstile Compatible with Bosch PBD-40 Bench Drill (Round Handle Shape)

I honestly wasn’t expecting this to be as well made as it is for the modest price. The hub is machined from solid and the stainless steel arms are extremely strong and durable. It was easy to assemble and fit and has made the drill much easier to use. While some people have the arms could have been longer, I believe they are a sensible length to ensure that 1. They should not be too long given the sized and proportions of the drill itself and 2. Users can’t apply too much force when in use and potentially damaging the drill. Really very, very good.

Very well made and packaged, easy to assemble and much better to use with small movement precision that the standard wheel design from Bosch.

An excellent product, sold at a realistic price which gives this drill the 'traditional' control levers instead of the supplied 'wheel' arrangement. Some - older - reviews criticised the product packaging, stating scratching and wear to the various parts. This has clearly been addressed really well with the parts delivered in a sturdy box with a foam cutout. Note, this product comes with a tube of 'loc-tight' thread compound. I also replaced the Bosch drill chuck for a more expensive precision chuck to make operation easier and more precise. Check out YouTube videos for how to do this.

I read before i purchased the drill that alot of people swapped the wheel for this item and can see why, the wheel isnt the ideal way of plunging the machine. All i will say is i feel the arms could have been 2" longer, it is only approx the same curcumference as the wheel, but my goodness it is well made.

Just a shame that the drill press it fits had to be returned with a jammed chuck.

DP55 är en prisvärd pelarborr för gör-det-självaren men vridkorset är mer konstnärligt än funktionellt utformat. Jag rekommenderar att detta byts ut mot ett från Ottertools. Ottertools vridkors levereras i en elegant förpackning där alla delar har en hög finish och där även en flaska gänglåsning ingår.

Ich weiß bis heute nicht, was die Herrschaften bei Scheppach sich reingeworfen haben, als sie den "Handgriff" der TBD55 entworfen haben, aber ich weiß, dass mir das Teil schon seit Tag eins gehörig auf den Nerv ging. Jetzt kommt von Ottertools ein Aftermarket-Teil, welches das Problem beheben sollte und ja, das tut es! Zunächst war ich über das doch kleine Paket sehr erstaunt, aber das Drehkreuz kommt zerlegt an. Die Montage ist aber extremst einfach und dank mitgelieferter Schraubensicherung auch für den absoluten DAU machbar, dann hält das ganze auch. Die Montage an der Maschine geht ebenfalls rasant vonstatten und auch, wenn ich über die doch recht kleinen Griffe erst irritiert war, so haben sie genau die richtige Größe für die TBD55. Denn dort sollte man behutsam arbeiten und nicht mit voller Wucht den Bohrer regelrecht ins Material knallen. Und das geht mit dem neuen Drehkreuz einfach viel besser, als mit dem Konstrukt, welches dafür eigentlich mal vom Hersteller vorgesehen war! Preislich ist alles für die Verarbeitung absolut in Ordnung, als kleiner Bonus liegt sogar noch ein Sticker mit dem Markenlogo dabei. Es ist ein fuxxing Otter drauf, das Ding ist also schon mehr als nur nett. Von daher: Klare Empfehlung für jeden, der seine TBD55 ein wenig aufbessern möchte

Poco se puede comentar sobre un accesorio de este tipo, decir simplementye que aumenta el brazo de palanca, lo que vuelve más cómodo el uso del taladro de columna Bosch a la hora de trabajar con metales, por ejemplo. Bien deseñado.
