Best Harvest Hay Bale Sampler Probe, 24" Depth, Drill-Type

Garbage, on the second bale the tip came off and w Had to weld it to the tube to continue. USA price with Chinese quality!

This probe seems well made and I believe will last a lifetime. I've used it once on about ten round bales and it does what it's advertised to do. Excellent tool. The instructions suggest using a cordless drill, and I used my DeWalt 20v. It did the job, barely. It takes a lot of torque to run that probe in all the way. My direct experience is on the tenth bale smoke was coming out of my drill which was piping hot so I abandoned drilling any more core samples. My suggestion is to use a beefy 110v plug-in drill and save any cordless drills from what in my opinion qualifies as drill abuse.

Deep probe for round and square hay bales. It has worked as it should with the bags to collect. Love it.

Of all the samplers I have used I like this one the best.

They are overprices for what you get but they all seem to run in this price range. The quality seems good enough but I have not actually hooked it up and used it yet.
