Genuinely seems to work..but takes time!!
I think this actually works?! I'm a pretty hairy mary, usually shave my legs every day cos I can't bear the stubble.I've only been using this for just over a month, but there's definately a difference. Could absolutely shave every other day instead of every morning, which to me is quite impressive.Saw other comments about smell and consistency.. yes, it's very lemony, but it doesn't last, its fresh, I've no problem with it. It is runny, if you're not expecting it! I tend to shake it upright then squeeze out carefully. I use about a 50p size blob for both legs (I'm 6ft2, they're long legs!) And a little goes a long way. It's goingvto be a regular buy for me!

Doesn't produce miracles after a week
Have been using this product for a few weeks. I haven't noticed any major reduction in hair regrowth. I have very fast hair growth rate so bought this to help. I suppose this is one of those products you need to persevere with and maybe use a couple of tubes to notice any change to regrowth. The gel like solution comes out the tube rather quickly so you need to be careful with how much product you want to apply at any one time. The product smells ok and is easy to apply. It does leave the skin a little tacky to the touch for a few moments after initial application.

Review from a longtime user.
It was hard to choose a rating for this product because I don't think that this type of product can be the instant miracle we all want and yet I plan my shopping to never run out. If you want to try it there are a few things to keep in mind:It takes time, more than a tube's worth before you start to really notice a difference. It's not for the face. It's not a great moisturiser, you'll need to supplement it in the winter.I am naturally a hairy person, sometime in the mists of time some foremother bedded down with a bear to keep warm in the winter. As pleasing as it to know that one's in such rude good health that the body can divert its resources to the chewbacca look it's a bit socially frowned upon. I could get waxed and three days later I could do it again despite assurances of how long lasting the effects are and being very fair lasers and ipl were out of the question. So, that's where I was at until another well known brand brought out a now discontinued hair inhibiting anti-antiperspirant that worked so well I thought I'd try the same principle on my legs; enter Laidbare....First impressions were discouraging. It smelled like hospital floor cleaner to me (still does), it's slightly tacky when wet, is very runny, and is a poor moisturiser. One huge improvement since then is the snap lid on the tube making spills less frequent. Initially I tried it on my lower legs only. For the first tube I didn't notice any difference in hair growth but I did buy another because it was very calming to my skin post shaving and since I shaved my legs everyday (I'm not kidding about fast growing hair) my skin was often irritated prior to using this product.By the time I finished the second tube (a little goes a long way, for me this is about 4 months for full legs every day) I started noticing a difference. The biggest change was that the stubble was coming in softer, much softer, which was a bigger deal than the marginally slowed rate of growth. Now being a bit on autopilot I continued doing the half-leg thing for a good three or so years (I'm kicking myself) whilst the growth rate slowed further and I could shave as little as once a week, but if I did I'd look like a ginger faun! That's when I started doing my whole legs. For a long time there was a tideline demarcating where I started earlier. It's only in the last year it's gone away. Meanwhile I now only shave my legs every month or so, though that may be a part of getting older and not caring so much if the sun should catch some hairs. They're not very visible, more like the leg hairs I had as a child. My last man-friend declared that I had the softest legs of any lady he'd known and that quietly made my day. There are probably better hair inhibitors out there. One of the biggest reasons I stick to this one besides all the environmentally friendly guff is that it also contains ingredients used to treat varicose veins which run in my family. I'm middle aged now and of my siblings and cousins I am the only one who has none visible. Now, I do try to stay active as a profilactive but I'm pretty sure this lotion helps a lot. I don't think it will do anything for large, knotty veins, but if you've the beginnings of that fine spider's mesh, as I did when I started using this lotion, give it a go. You might find it a very useful "off-list" product.Oh, and if you hate the scent as much as I do it's good to know that it doesn't linger.

Do not buy does not work
Don't buy this! It comes out like a runny gel that has been left in the sun to long. It doesn't really smell to nice either and it definitely does not work! In fact I'm pretty sure it does the opposite. I can normally get away with not shaving my legs for at least a day if not two, but with this I was shaving them everyday! Complete waste of money!

Disappointed
Smells pleasant but not so nice to apply. Leaves a sticky residue before completely drying on the skin and there's a soapy texture when you wash your hands or next shower. It's pricey and because of the way it feels on the skin, I don't think I've used it enough to see any positive results of minimising hair regrowth. I've used Veet Hair Minimising moisturising lotion for years which was brilliant and after just a few months hair growth was minimised and I had zero ingrowing hairs, it also made waxing less painful and easier. I've had to resort to Laidbare as its more and more difficult to get hold of Veet lotion. I knew some years ago that Veet stopped making it but looks like stocks have dried up now. Not sure I'll buy more Laidbare, just doesn't feel very nice.

I can get away with shaving once a week and not feel like a gorilla Iike I used to
Can't live without this stuff. Been using for several years now. Rarely get ingrowing hairs anymore and although it doesn't stop my legs from being hairy the hair isn't as course as it used to be. I can get away with shaving once a week and not feel like a gorilla Iike I used to! :) It's very runny so you have to be careful when applying and a little goes a long way. It's also very hydrating to the skin, never get the scaly dried out legs, always smooth and soft. Also very soothing to apply directly after shaving. Once you get used to the smell and consistency you'll not want to use anything else. Well I don't anyway! Been buying on monthly subscription for years now :)

That you can use it on the face
I need it for my chin and upper lip, I am assuming you can use it for this, as my leg hair doesn’t grow that fast and I can maintain by shaving regularly.

After all the praise there is one thing I wasn't too happy about and that is the liquidy consistency
So I know this product isn't supposed to be used on your face but my mother and I used it on our faces anyway (such rebels 😀). I have to say I was a little scared to use it on my face to begin with but because it has all natural ingredients I decided to give it a go. It works amazingly well at getting rid of the waxing related little bumps. I haven't been using it too long to say anything about it minimizing hair growth but I've got my fingers crossed. After all the praise there is one thing I wasn't too happy about and that is the liquidy consistency. The product sort of just leaks out of the tube into your hand and well everywhere else.
