7inch hitch mount extension

This dual Hitch extension works great! The length was perfect and its shiny black color keeps it from being noticeable! I was able to install it with no problem and it is definitely rust resistant! It is very simple to use and install. Great quality at a good price

Was able to fit my Hollywood bike rack and 2" anti rattle clamp onto my 2" trailer hitch as shown in the pictures. The pin for the 2" receiver is a little further back than shown in the manufactures photos, but there was still room to fit the anti-rattle clamp. The 1-1/4" section was just long enough to accommodate the split bar anti-sway feature of my bike rack. I wish they would include this dimension in their drawing. I measure it as 3" deep, and I don't see why it could not have been a little deeper to help with the stability of at least one of my towing hitches and the engagement of the split bar for the bike rack. I was pleased to see that it actually had ratings for towing. I had missed this as it was not in the description, and was only obliquely visible in one of the photos.

I needed to get an adapter that would allow my 2" hitch receiver to accept a 1.25" bicycle rack. The rack has a specialized pin with threads to hold the rack securely to the hitch receiver, so any adapter that extends rack behind the main receiver will not allow that function to work correctly. There are some aluminum adapters that could work, but aluminum isn't as strong as a steel sleeve. Most of the steel versions are adapters - a 2" portion inserts into the vehicle receiver with a 1.25" receiver attached. The bicycle rack will secure firmly to the adapter, but there is no means to attach the adapter securely to the vehicle receiver. It wouldn't fall out, but it would rock and wobble. This adapter sleeve can work as either an extension or only a size adapter with a single pin holding both the sleeve and the rack. In my case, the rack mates without the extension or included pin. The threaded pin provided with the bike rack fits through the front hole in the sleeve, the pin hole in the vehicle 2" receiver, and the threaded hole in the rack bar. When tightened, the pin pulls the rack and sleeve firmly against one side of the vehicle receiver. As a result, the bike rack mates securely to the vehicle and does not rock while moving down the road. It's slightly tricky to get the sleeve and rack aligned to the threaded pin fits through both, but it's worth the effort to get the stability that would be lost with a two-pin extension. It's perfect for my application. Even better, it also works for an application needing extension. The pin already used with the vehicle hitch attaches this adapter to the receiver through the back holes on the adapter, and the included pin then attaches the smaller hitch to the 1.25" receiver on the adapter. It's a shorter extension than one with a bar for the vehicle with a receiver welded to it. That was the only type available locally, so this was a great find.

Did not use this hitch extender yet, but it looks great. Hitch Pin with nut and safety clip was a great option. I recommend this product and this company. Only problem was delivery. Which has nothing to do the product. Bag was ripped box was crushed and open. But everything was there and not damaged. Can’t wait to use this with my bike rack.

Im a smart girl and I picked well. My partner in the photo for example. So happy with the double hitch extender! First, its further from the hot exhaust which Ive heard can melt bags on other cars. Second, my hatch door now opens with both the base rack, and bike rack on. Golden. Third, everything is a little higher and safer from road hazards. Fourth, the rack no longer trips up my rear sensor blind spot detector, so it can operate properly. Can you say winner? Fyi I recommend to also buy some fairly cheap hitch silencing pads in a 2x2” size of-coarse, enough for the double hitch attachment areas, get at least 8” worth. $12. -No one likes clanky rack noises on bumpy roads, and all racks with hitch inserts seems to have a bit of wiggle room, which these pads silent effectively.

Great product and its heavy duty item. Worked for us with zero prob. I did not see any weld break or it bending at all since I used it several times. Im not using it for super heavy things either. Happy with product so far.

It’s a beast!!!! Very VERY SOLID! Heavy duty it can definitely haul 2,000 lbs or more!

Needed a little more extension to get past spare tire on Jeep Wrangler to use our rack. Worked perfectly.

Mais il manque une tige à clip. La seule fournie n'était pas assez longue pour s'insérer dans le hitch d'origine. Solide comme il se doit et s'insère parfaitement. C'est safe.

Fits into receiver nicely very light the 2" hitch holes lines up perfectly will see how it upholds after a bunch of towing , so far it's good
