Floor Stand for Book Reading Height Adjustable Bamboo Book Stand Holder

This is a good device attempting to solve the traditionally difficult problem of supporting books and tablets etc safely in front of the user without being cumbersome or over-expensive.It has always been well made and finished it seems (still is) but suffered a few rather obvious design problems in needing hex keys to make simple adjustments to height etc. I was pleased to see on receipt of my own order that this has recently been addressed. The height adjustment is easily facilitated in that the clamp bolt now has a thumb tab making it simple to loosen/re-tighten.Although hex keys are provided and necessary for the simple initial assembly they are not really needed further except for occasional friction adjustment of the swivel joints.The one slight issue I found concerned the retention of the main plate in the top support where the instructions mention 'press tab to release'. In fact on my version the plate was never retained anyway and it remained free. Not an issue at all really unless you invert the stand (!!) or try to lift it by holding the plate instead of the top arm.A good item.
