Resurrected Aurora model
This is a new model of "The Madame Tussaud's The Chamber of Horrors La Guillotine" made by Aurora back in 1964. The underside of the base is stamped with the Polar Lights logo.In this model there is a post (flat on one side and rounded on the other) projecting from beneath the head to affix in the hole on the neck of the body. The original had an actual round post. Otherwise it is faithful to the original Aurora model. There is another Polar LIghts kit, the same as this one in every other aspect, that has tiny magnets to join the head and body. You will have to carefully adjust the length of the post in order to have the head fall off. It's also a good idea to add weight to the blade. Otherwise it is hit and miss decapitating the figure. I used a small rectangular lead weight for wood go karts. It fits very well within a hollow between the two halves of the blade.

Cool model but must be painted, does not come in color.
Cool model, quality is ok. However it was purchased as a gift for me and was unaware that it does not come in color and you have to paint everything.

Very Unusual Model
Terrifying instrument of death used during the French Revolution. The model actually cuts the head off and decapitates the prisoner being executed. The head then falls into the wicker basket after the blade slams down.

Haven’t opened yet
The media could not be loaded. The box art is so eye catching that I have it out just for that purpose. Have not put it together yet

I haven't opened the box, I'm saving it as a collectable.
I had one back in the late 1960's.A blast from the past.

The attention to detail
1)The attention to detail .2)You can actually cut the head off the convict.3) Most important I bought one of these models atages 12. Loved it so much I made three more out of wood at age 14 and submitted to three art classes extrodnary.I am 70 years old this year.
