I have purchased a few other "tactical" type pens but this one is definitely as described. The others could be passed off as good, solid, metal pens which could be used on any occasion. This Rusishyy Tactical pen looks as much as a weapon as it does a pen. I would definitely not take it to the office or pull it out during a social gathering. Though your office and friends may be different than mine. It feels solid, and writes smoothly and boldly. Weight is okey for me but my hands find it somewhat difficult to hold. The working end is large in diameter but it quickly tapers down to the point. My fingers eventual slip down toward the paper since the portion of the barrel most people would hold have groves that guide my fingers down. Having the circular groves that are just above the slippery part, continue to the end would make it easier to handle. But, it looks scary and writes well. I will carry one in my truck since the glass breaker on the other end looks effective and might be handy. As would the pen.

Yes it is a great pen, writes great Have one securely secured in both cars. So if we were to go in the water we would know exactually where to find them. They will not get thrown into unknown places. As for self defense, have not tried it but looks very capable. My take , great pen, believe it would work well to escape a car and self defense. Well worth it, (if for no other reason) , it is a very nice , great writing pen with extra refills

Watch out. Make sure that your tungsten tips are secure in the pen. Upon opening the packaging one was loose in the packaging. The other just fell out of the pen end when I turned the pen over. This is the second set I've bought, no problems with the first set. I'll reorder and see what I get this time. UPDATE: The new pens have arrived and appear to be built correctly.
