A must have for all Tilda fans!!
I was so excited that my new Tilda book arrived today packed full of creative possibilities.....wow!!!I was extremely pleased how many patterns were in this book, making it great value, considering how expensive buying individual patterns costs from any designer!!This book will make a fantastic gift, and I can see me buying another copy for a wonderful friend who like me is extremely creative and adores all things Tilda!!One thing I must say in reading this book cover to cover, is the patterns in here are complexed, and 98% of them are large projects. The bumblebee project looks easy, and would make a brilliant pincushion, great to make as a gifts for other creative friends. There are a lot of joining curved pieces together and working with bias edges.I wouldn’t say this book is for beginners but the bumble bee and elephant projects are the easiest projects in the book. You will be glad to know, all the patterns are FULL SIZE, but split over several pages, but there is a website address where all the patterns can downloaded to be printed out full size too! The patterns are all colour coded in the book to make is easier to identify all the elements. Plus there are printable labels to tie round the neck with beautiful ribbon for the stunning rabbit and the squirrel which adds a professional touch to any gift.My favourite has to be Patch Fox, who would make an incredible gift for any child (or big kid of any age). You can make him in 2 sizes, they are long body toys measuring 30” or 76.2 cms for the smaller one 24” or 61 cms. He/she has a lovely rounded tail. All the patterns show a mini fabric chart/ swatches from their fabric range. The fabrics can be easily bought from Amazon, eBay, and independent stockists. At the very back of the book there is a suppliers listing covering countries right around the world. Tilda fabrics are 100% cotton and quilting weight. I work a lot with them, and they are excellent. The British TV program The Sewing Quarter (which is also free to watch on their website 7 days a week) covered this book in their program on February 14th 2018, on their 9-10am element of the show, where they did a full tutorial on how to make the stunning tree pillow which includes birds. Every episode of Sewing Quarter is available to watch all back episodes on You tube, you go to their page on You tube and add the date and the 4 hours worth of that day’s show pops up. You can scroll through each hour to find the hour you wish to see, plus you can buy the fabric there too. Sewing Quarter does sell Tilda Fabric but not the full range. The photography in this book like all Tilda books are stunning and about 40% of the projects in this book are featured in their 2018 hard back diary. (Please note there are no sewing patterns included in the Tilda diary, just project pictures.)Enclosed a photo of the contents of this book.

Disappointed this time
I was giddy excited another Tonne Finnanger book was out but I was quite disappointed with this book. I like the books more for the dolls and animal patterns but this was mainly quilting which I don’t do so not much use to me. I did think about returning it but I have all the rest of the books so kept it.

Omg
Omg omg why have I not seen this before, what an absolutely fabulous book, I’m so excited to start making from it but don’t know which to choose first. Came from Scots Books, delivered promptly thank you. I always wonder when reading reviews if they are genuine but I can assure you this one is. I’m off now to order fabric.

If that is what you like to do
I have 4 of Tone's book, this is probably the one that suits me the least. I should have read the other comments properly, it's mainly patterns for quilts and pillows with a few toys and other bits. A 3 star might be unfair, as it's given due to me not being a quilter at heart. If that is what you like to do, then i'm sure it's perfect!

Great if you want to use up fat quarters/ bigger ...
Lovely book. Focuses more on quilts that other books but has a few craft projects as well e.g. pumpkins, foxes, santa and stockings. Organised by the seasons. Great if you want to use up fat quarters/ bigger scraps and you have a lot of them!

Love this book
Love this book. Can't wait to get started on the projects . I liked the way some of the blocks in the quilts could be used for smaller projects. Although this book uses Tilda fabric, you could use any similar fabric to make up the quilts or toys.
