Excellent clock
Excellent little clock. I chose this to replace an old bedside clock. The main thing I was looking for was one that wasn’t continuously back lit as I’m a sensitive sleeper. This one only lights up when you press the large button on top. It’s extremely easy to set (unlike my old Phillips one) and the batteries have so far lasted a whole year! I don’t use the alarm function though, just like to know what time it is when I wake up through the night.

Cheap and cheerful. Works well.
Believe it or not, I took a long time trying to find the ideal replacement for my old digital battery alarm clock, which had served me well for over thirty years! This one gets a positive vote of 4/5 for the following reasons...Compact, but not too tiny, this unit will fit into a small travel bag but isn't small in the two areas where it matters: clearly displaying the time and an alarm loud enough to wake me up. The figures on the display take up the whole of the front of the clock and are easy for me to read in the middle of the night without my glasses on. Pressing the large snooze button illuminates the bright backlight for a couple of seconds, which then fades away gradually (a nice touch)! That button does have a rather loud click, which could wake a light-sleeping partner if used to see the time in the middle of the night. The angle of the display is a bit silly, it points slightly upwards, meaning that it's a little hard to see unless you tilt the clock downwards to view. It looks blank if viewed from slightly below, which is how I tend to look at it whilst lying in bed. Another reviewer had the ingenious idea of taping something under the back of the unit to angle it downwards - that should work. The slide switch at the rear of the top is used to select time/alarm/setting. Maybe I'm unlucky with my copy, but when I slide the switch across it doesn't click into place for the different functions. I'm sure I'll learn the different positions. The big advantage for me is that even after just a couple of nights using the clock I can turn the alarm on/off in the dark, without looking. That was one of my main criteria for choosing the clock: ability to operate it virtually with my eyes closed! The alarm is loud. It starts at a medium volume, then after a few seconds gets louder, then louder...Pressing the snooze button silenced it for four minutes.Seems like a very reasonable alarm clock for under a tenner. But will it last me for thirty years? Watch this space!

it is easy to use and is very reliable
I had one of these ages ago and it finally beeped its last beep. It actually stopped working so we overslept a lot , so I got another and now we are all up on time. It's small , neat , with big numbers and basically tells the time and has an alarm. it is easy to use and is very reliable. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a backlight , and that only comes on when you press the large button on the top so if you wake and need to know the time , you press the button on top but then the light is very bright to start with but fades after about 15-30 seconds. Its a good clock though, always keeps time and has a good snooze setting - you get about 3 or 4 minutes before it goes off again. Would recommend.

Faulty product - returned
I have had this make/model before and found it easy to use, so when I needed a new alarm clock I ordered the same. However the item sent to me was defective - the slide bar at the top did not properly change functions (even when set to "alarm off" the alarm symbol stayed on) and because the slider bar didn't work properly the buttons to change the time/set alarm time were unresponsive. Returned item for a refund.

Wakes me up
it is a nice little item but I would have preferred one with a continuous led display that I could see in the dark rather than having to keep reaching out and pressing a button to see the time. But it serves its purpose, competitively priced and looks nice on my bedside table.

Great Clock!!
I bought this clock for my 11 year old son's bedroom and he loves it!! The clock is small and compact so could easily be used as a travel clock and it glows nice and bright when you press the top button. The only thing that is a bit fiddly is the buttons for setting the time or alarm. The button slides over from side to side, so sometimes it is hard to see if it is in the right place for the alarm to be set. Other than that though, it is a great little clock for a great price and the batteries have lasted forever!! We got this clock a year ago and have not had to change the batteries once.

Blissfully silent
This alarm clock was a replacement for another of the same type which had expired after 20+ years ! Like its predecessor its chief attribute for me is that it is totally silent. It is a neat shape and doesn't take up too much space on the bedside table. The display is large but not illuminated in normal use, so it can be hard to see from across the room but not a problem from the bed . To see the time in the dark you press the large easily felt button on the top. This also operates the alarm snooze function.Setting the time and alarm is a bit fiddly as the sliding buttons, which are also on the top, are small. I wouldn't recommend this clock if you have arthritic hands. One advantage of the small buttons is that once set it is unlikely they are accidentally changed. Another thing to watch is that it is not a 24 hour clock. When scrolling to set the time/alarm PM appears after you reach 12 noon and goes off screen at midnight. You must spot this to ensure you set the alarm at the intended time. You soon get used it. A bell image and zzzzzz is displayed when the alarm is set. The latter gradually gets louder and faster. It is loud but not horribly so. Tap the large top button for 5mins snooze and slide the small right hand button completely to the right to turn the alarm off.Though I have given some negative feedback I still think this is a great little clock a very reasonable price.
