Slammin!
It was time to upgrade the speakers in my racecar; the walmart coax pioneers had to go. I spent some time doing some review reading, and after many hours settled on the Infinity primus component speakers. To note, I am familiar with Infinity as a brand, but had no prior experience listening to them in person. I knew from reading many reviews that Infinity's have a predisposition to be "bright" or "sharp" in their tonality, and that is completely true, these are ear shattering, like stepping outside in the snow, after you brushed your teeth, with a mint in your mouth, and inhaling very quickly. A quick adjustment of the treble in my head unit fixed that, vocals are now crisp and sharp, but not too shrill. I had to get creative with the tweeter mounts, but I am a fabricator by trade, so it did not take me long to figure something out. I really like the mounts they give you for the tweeters, they were very handy and made the job go by quicker. The primus midranges may not be as nicely constructed as Infinity's higher end models, but I was looking to keep weight down, and in my 1986 300zx, space in the door is limited. They fit perfectly with no modification needed. I want to be clear these are not for bass, that is not their intended purpose. Their purpose is to be bright and clear and provide crisp mids and highs, which they do wonderfully for the money. You need to pair these with a quality subwoofer to really bring the ensemble together. I went with a 10" JL microsub, which has complemented the infinitys quite well.

WOW.
I installed these in my 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid. They sound WORLDS better than the factory speakers, and I'm not even running an amplifier yet. Clarity of highs are fantastic and I was even surprised by the bass response. The bass isn't going to blow you socks off, but factory headunits don't provide enough power to get the speakers really low, so don't expect the bass to shake the whole car... BUT as someone who loves car audio, I am pleasant surprised at these, they make me re-think even needing to add an aftermarket amplifier. Having a dedicated woofer + tweeter is the only way to go. Coaxial speakers work if you don't have space for an independent tweeter, but if you do.. let that woofer concentrate on driving all the lows & mids, and that tweeter handle the higher range. The 3ohm impedance really pulls the most power out of your headunit as possible. Another thing to note here is their sensitivity is 92 dB at 2.83 volts, which is fantastic if you DON'T plan an adding an amplifier... they have 60w RMS so adding a smaller amplifier (Kicker Key 200.4 for example) will power these nicely and sound even better. I'm guessing their bass performance will pick up nicely as well. Always buy infinity!!

Great sound.

Mi unidad provoca distorsión en las frecuencias bajas apesar de que tiene incorporado un filtro. Para las puertas traseras instale unos JBL stage 3 637f que son coaxiales y suenan mucho mejor.

READ the directions!
These speakers were a great addition to replace the stock rear door speakers in my Nissan Frontier. However, If I hadn’t read the full description of these speakers on a popular car audio website I probably would have installed the tweeter crossovers backwards because that is what the picture only directions that come with these speakers show you to do. The tweeter crossover wires are tinned on one side and have connectors on the other. The picture directions show that you connect the tinned side wires to the tweeter wires, and then connect the connectors to the 6 1/2” woofer on the tweeter pins. In fact, the opposite is the correct way to install the crossovers to the tweeters. My guess is that this egregious error by Infinity accounts for the vast majority of bad reviews and why Amazon shows this as a “frequently returned” item. If I hadn’t read the full informational description of these speakers on another site, I would have probably made the same error. Shame on Infinity for having such horrible directions, but if/when you do hook these speakers up correctly, they easily rival Infinity’s more expensive speakers (reference, etc).

Same
With all the work of talking the door apart you should install the Reference Series for an Extra $150.00 But if you Can't Afford it These are fine

Sound Clean!!!
I put 2 sets of these in my 2006 Nissan Sentra and Holy Cow did they make a world of difference. The sound quality was ridiculous and the loudness did not distort the quality at all! These are well worth the price and would absolutely buy another pair if needed

Was unable to find the model within Canada/US. Purchased and installed with factory stereo/amp. Slight improvement over factory speakers. Still going strong nearly a year later.
