This is exactly as described and wanted. The texture, look, and thickness are fine.

The raffia came so sink wrapped I was leery of it. Once unwrapped the raffia was in great condition. Unlike other raffia I've worked with this raffia is not all tangled up and easy to pull apart. Will buy again.

The raffia itself is fine, with long enough pieces to be useful, and an irregular array of widths as nature would have it. I gave only 4 stars because of how it is bundled. There are 4 vacuum packed bundles. When released from the seal, there is some expansion. My objection is that finding and taking single pieces created a mess in the bundle. I’ve used raffia bundled and tied such that single pieces can easily be lifted once the raffia is unfolded. So the product so far is fine except for difficulty in accessing it.

Works well for my needs. I made tiki torches, cosplay style for our SURVIVOR (tv show) watch group and use the rafia as part of the decoration on them. They turned out super cute. This rafia does come folded as you see so if you don't want a little kink in yours then may look elsewhere. I didn't have any problem with that though. They come in individual packs and each has quite a bit of rafia.

The straw I bought was used to make a straw house for children aged 2-3. It was easy to cut and glue together with all-purpose adhesive.

The media could not be loaded. I’ll be honest, this is my first time working with Raffia, so I’m no connoisseur as of yet.The package came nicely vacuum sealed, it seems to be of good quality.It has a pleasant slightly sweet smell.The bundles it comes in leave a lot of crimps in the pieces, which was problematic for my project.But I figured out it can be fairly quickly straightened by running a few strands at a time between your thumb nail and fingers.If you don’t have a handy dandy sticker-peeling-length thumb nail, you can also just use your fingers by adding a little more pressure. I’ve added a video of me straightening them for reference .
