Pet Media Adventure Cat DVD Volume 1: Backyard Fun

Benji is semi-feral - less so after almost a year with us. But she lives in the garage - which is now a full time cat condo. She has a big 7’ condo with houses and tall perches. We’ve made adaptations for hot or cold weather, a catio which we built into the courtyard through the garage window, and now a portable netting wall so she can sit on the porch with us.I recently added a portable DVD player which will repeat on a loop. It runs from morning to evening. She’ll watch this video while relaxing, eating, even napping. She pats at the screen and “talks” to it. She likes to hang upside down on my lap and watch it. Surprisingly the lizards are her favorite. But we both like the goldfish.

Really liked it.. gives a cat a chance to watch and listen to when you’re away from home working or getting ready for work. Nice to watch ALL videos so your cat can see everything. I loved hearing the water from the creek sounds with the crickets! I would highly recommend this, my cat watches it and I’m sure he appreciates the beautiful sounds.

My cats love this DVD. They sit in front of the TV everyday and look at me until I start it up. I would say they spend at least one hour or more watching the movie. Out of five movies I have purchased for them, this one is their favorite. They look so cute laying around in the floor in front of the TV enjoying their movie.

Since having to move to an apartment and taking the backyard excitement of birds, squirrels and racoons away from my two cats, they became quite depressed. There's not a lot to see from a 4th floor window overlooking a parking lot. So, I ordered 3 different cat videos to see if they would perk the cats up by bringing the backyard to them via the big screen. Out of the 3 purchased this particular video is the best. It's full of different critters (birds, mice, fish,crickets and geckos) creating lots of movement and noise to peak the interest of a curious cat. And yes, Adventure Cat does make an appearance from time to time although it's nothing special compared to the other things happening on the video. One of my cats (age 6) will sit on the chair that I place in front of the tv and put his elbows on the tv stand to watch the action. It's amazing how interested and excited he becomes with the action, particularly the mice since they squeak and move around rather quickly. My other cat (age 9) watches from her place on the sofa, but doesn't get as involved. However, I have noticed that both of them do appear to be happier and don't mope around all the time crying to be held or begging for attention. This was the best investment I have made in a long time and definitely would recommend it to others.

The transaction with seller was fine. Other cats may like this. My 7-year-old tabby boy could care less, except that he showed mild interest in the laser part. Perhaps it's because he sees birds & squirrels out the window every morning or perhaps he just wasn't interested. Although, he watched a tennis match in a Woody Allen movie with great interest once. However, I can see why the frog & lizard part didn't interest him. They're not active enough.

I have two cats. I purchased this because one of my cats fell in love with a mouse video on Animal Planet's Funniest Videos. Ever since then I have been trying to find a dvd with mice on it. I read the reviews for this one and it was part of the 4 for 3 deal so I decided to try it. Well, my cat loves it! He stares at me whenever I wanna watch "real" tv and begs me to put his video on. So I usually give in. Now my other cat who doesn't watch much tv doesn't care too much for it. But if your cat loves to watch animals on tv, then they should love this video. I am so glad I got it! Its got birds, mice, frogs, lizards, squirrels, pigeons, ducks, geese, etc., and it lets you choose by animal or just watch the entire dvd. Nice feature. It's got nature sounds, nice clear pictures. It's really cute, even I enjoy watching it. Hope your cat will too!

I wanted to just hear nature sounds, such as the sounds the birds are making, and the natural noises the mice make as they turn on their wheels, that part is great, thing is, they go and add music, MUSIC to this video and there is a whole section at the end with music, and I can't stand the music.I could let this thing play all day over and over if it weren't for the music they added. In a nature video, leave out the music. Everyone's tastes are different and so the music wrecks it. I still give it 3 stars just for the scenes where I can hear nature.Boy, the music is stupid!As for the cats, well, not one of them was interested.I'm sure I enjoyed it more than they did.I bought them a new cat tree and they are sleeping on my bed not touching it, so when you pick something out, pick something you will like, you are the one who will end up watching it, not the cats.

Pet Media Adventure Cat DVD Volume 1: Backyard Fun My cat, Dee Catley Carson, loved it for quite awhile, several weeks. The first day it came I cut him off (TV) after 6 straight hours of viewing!! Then the day came when he looked behind the TV and speaker and lost interest. (Darn, I like to keep his mind active.) I highly recommend "Winged Migration", the human dvd. Sounds are more varied and accurate and keep the kitties attention. I did try Adventure Cat on several friends and relatives cats and they weren't interested.
