Hello. This is a nice fan for use to keep yourself cool on sunny days and in areas where there is a lack of air circulation.. When I started online shopping a few years ago I went online to Amazon looking for folding fans for men, and after finding some 12 inch long by slightly longer when fully opened, I noticed 2 things: firstly while some were advertised as being made of fabric, a number of them were actually made of hard paper, which could tear when wet, so I didn't like that. Secondly, the tines were spaced to allow for gripping, but that courtesy was more of a curse, for many Amazon customers complained that while those fans were easy to open, they were hard to close. I concluded that this is because the tines are spaced, which reduces stability during use and closure. This led to searching for folding fans for women. These fans, sold by OMyTea, Amajiji, and Thought, though smaller, were actually more stable, because there the tines nearly overlap each other at the base of the fan. There are virtually no gaps. So I purchased these fans. I chose more black/ white monochromatic and greyscale colours, since colour fashion was not my foremost preference. These fans are durable enough for moderately strong whips of the fan, yet is not to be expected as use for a weapon, despite what we see in cinema and animation. Amazon sells metallic fans used in the Japanese martial art of tessenjutsu, "iron fan technique", and these fans are not those. If the trimming at the edge of the fan begins to separate, super glue may help - be careful when using the glue. Let's not glue the fan together fully closed, so let the fan dry while fully opened. Before I go, if any of you tend to get a little warm in the restroom, while "relaxing", these fans have given me a gentle breeze, keeping me cool and comfortable while I "go". Something to think about.

Bought this for a bunch of outdoor weddings I was attending. It’s nice and slim to tuck into a purse, you don’t have to worry about charging it like an electric fan, it’s quiet, looks elegant and is fun to snap open and closed…what more can you ask for!I’ve used it quite a few times and it’s still going strong. It’s a little bit bowed, but that’s probably from me just tossing it in my bag without the little case. Nothing some time and a rubber band wrapped tight around it couldn’t fix.

Look better in person. Good quality, nice coring, comes with a fabric case and works well.

The fan itself seems to be rather decent quality, and looks very pretty. The storage sleeve it comes with is nice quality and surprisingly thick which does a wonderful job helping with most things that would cause it to get damaged or scratched up.Only issue is that the tassel attached to it is very low quality, it was already falling apart on the first day and by the end of the week the tassel was gone entirely. A minor issue, in my opinion, but it does detract from the intended appearance, so if you care about the tassel staying intact, then unfortunately this fan will need its tassel replaced or tightened regularly.

The fan is exactly described and more! It opens and closes easily. It is way superior to the slightly smaller purposed to be silk fans with with pretty designs which don’t produce as much of a “breeze” and they don’t close easily (you always have to try to get the folds right in order to close it.”This fan is simple elegance, well made, opens and closes easily… I love this fan! I’m going through menopause, so when I get a hot flash sitting on the couch with my husband I can just whip out this fan and it opens so easily, AND the “wind” that it creates with every motion so relieving—less effort for more relief.Best fan I’ve ever had nd I’ve had many over the years.

These old fashioned fans comes in clutch! It gets hot in church. I didn’t want one of those battery operated travel ones or rechargeable ones to add any weight to my bag. These are sturdy, without adding weight, and gives a nice breeze across my whole face and shoulders where I usually need it most. Plus it reminds me of my grandma who was just a lady!

I liked it a lot! It is beautiful. I can not attest to the durability since I just got it but it feels sturdy.

I bought this because of how beautiful it looks. I even bought ome for my sister. Bit the material is pretty cheap.

This is one of the nicest hand fans I’ve owned! The quality is even better than I expected. Love the little sleeve cover to keep it from getting wrecked in my purse. Definitely will be well used! 5*****’s

I'd say that for the price this is excellent. It's actually pretty sturdy and the design looks even better in person. It also comes with a very nice carry bag for it that doesn't even have any loose threads on the ends! I'd say this is the perfect thing to have for the hot weather we've been going through.
