Worth It!
PLEASE NOTE: I did not receive the Original Formula I ordered. I received the talc-free. This will be a review of the talc-free version.I am very close to 40. Every time I’ve worn liquid foundation I’ve felt miserable, watery eyes, felt like I had plaster on my skin. I decided to try what my Grammy used and just give Airspun a shot. All I used for my base is my regular facial moisturizer and the Airspun. I don’t care for the little “puff” included and I used a large powder brush to apply. The puff is about as flat as a fast food pancake, and the pancake might apply the product better. The Airspun is light as a feather, looks natural, and just blends and evens out my skin. I love it. It does require touch ups on my oily spots every once in a while throughout the day.The scent definitely has that “gramma cosmetics” smell, but it does dissipate… after an hour or so. It’s not worth knocking a star off for, but if they ever came out with an unscented version, I’d switch in a heartbeat.Pic is unfiltered, regular iPhone front camera.

Perfecting loose powder!
I remember back in the late 60's and early 70's sneaking into my mom's make-up drawer in the bathroom to use this same powder. I have been using the original for years, and never really minded the smell since it goes away once applied. This is first time using the talc-free translucent formula. The smell is lighter- a bit citrus or lemon scent, but the coverage is what made the biggest impression. I am not wrinkly nor scarred, but habits of a lifetime of not wanting to be shiny or blotchy make me so happy this provides an even, matte and bright pearly finish. I have found the pads from the old container are much better than the sponge pads so I just wash them and reuse....

A classic that doesn't really work for me as I've aged
A classic that may have to be put in my dust bin of history. I used to love this powder but over the years switched to other products. When L'Oreal stopped making the loose powder I love (a much more affordable dupe of Laura Mercier) I thought I'd go back to this. I bought translucent and no matter how little I apply I look like a dried out prune. I can get away with it if I dab it on just the high points of my face and use a setting spray. I'm bummed - used to love this and the fragrance takes me back. If you have a more oily or youthful complexion this may be the powder for you. I'm bummed as this is a great value.

Talc-free! I'm obsessed
I started using this powder when I started using makeup. I sadly and reluctantly stopped using it when I started being more aware of ingredients, because of the talc. I did the dance of joy when I noticed a talc free formula! I have tried every powder known to man trying to find one that works as good as this, and I was disappointed every time. There is a reason Airspun has been around since 1935. It does not settle in fine lines, it does not cake. It will provide a beautiful, light glowing veil to your skin. I pray to the Gods of makeup that they never, ever stop making this wonderful product!

Great, weird smell.
It works great! It sets my concealer great so that’s all that matters for me! It does have a strong smell though.

Not for people who are sensitive to makeup
I really, really, wanted to like this loose powder. The powder I've been using was discontinued, and this was the closest thing I could find. It looked great on my face, but I could not get past the overpowering smell. I'm not usually sensitive to make up, but just the smell of this made my throat burn. If you are sensitive at all, proceed with caution.
