Bought for my new petrol car, and first ever Mazda, easy to fit (all clips on Mazda air box), and I'm a regular K&N customer, i fit their filters to all my cars where possible. Usual high quality oiled filter, simple install and just needs cleaned/washed and re-oiled once per year -- mind a get the K&N Cleaning Kit ( K&N 99-5000 Aerosol Recharger Filter Care Service Kit ) to be able to maintain the filter for years.

This size of K&N (33-2480) fits a number of larger Mazda cars, and specifically my 2019 CX-5. I did hesitate a bit at spending 50 quid on an air filter when the paper disposable ones are about ten quid, but I had also done a lot of research online that suggested these K&N high-flow filters gave about 2% more torque and 1% more BHP, plus they seem to have a very loyal following of repeat customers. Anecdotally, they're also supposed to improve the fuel economy marginally as well by about 1 mpg. Go google it all. After watching a lot of YouTube videos on how to fit it to a CX-5, it literally takes about 1 minute so don't be put off at all. There are 2 catches to undo at the front of your airbox, wiggle the lid forward and up, and then tilt away to reveal the current air filter. The K&N one comes in a sealed bag and is pre-oiled, so just remove the bag and slot it in to where the Mazda OEM one was. It's a perfect fit. Just make sure you re-fit the airbox lid again properly by locating the 3 tabs at the back of the lid into their mounts again so it's seated correctly. Having taken the car for about a 20 mile test drive to see how it fares, even on this short route you can tell the engine revs up a tiny bit more freely already. If you do the maths on the tiny fuel economy improvement as well, the 50 quid outlay for this is repaid several times over during a standard 3-year lease life (or 36k miles). Already a 5 star for me, even after just 20 miles.

Good quality product from K&N just as expected from such a well known brand, and it fits well on my Mazda CX5-2016 (2500cc). It was easy to install (but you have to be careful with the tabs of the air filter case when removing the old filter. *At first I was afraid because it looked like it will not fit, but after I tried to fit it inside it was perfect and 100% compatible with the car model.

I did not notice a power difference, but it could be because we went from sport tires to all season tires at the same time. Quality product, and fit was perfect with installation a breeze. I’m looking forward to see how it performs after cleaning. I’m optimistic!

Hallo ich verwende diesen Permanet Filter schon eine ganze Weile. Das ansprechverhalten des Motors ist absolut spitze,Die Maschine läuft wie ein Uhrwerk keine Probleme mit dem Luftmengenmesser sprich keine zu hohe oder zu niedrige Drehzahl im Leerlauf. Würde ich immer wieder kaufen. Ach ja hab ich ,für den Peugeot 208 1,4 95PS hab ich den entsprechenden Filter von K&N auch gekauft. Auch sie ist sehr zufrieden damit. Mein Mazda Mechaniker hatte mir von diesem Filter abgeraten weiß nicht warum? Denke das es daran liegt das die Original Ersatzfilter dann nicht mehr verkauft werden.

Installed on a Mazda CX-5 2017. Anybody can install it. Seems cost-effective, gas consumption may be slightly reduced and the filter should last years if you do what you have to.
