Great Heating Pad
I bought this heating pad based on all the other great reviews. And they were absolutely right. This is the best heating pad! I needed to replace a very old heating pad that I had, which was the old plastic type that had a cover on it. So compared to that, this one is like heaven! It is so flexible, comfortable, and so soft. The flexibility of the pad is so nice because you can use it anywhere and cover a lot of different areas, back, neck, leg, etc. The controls are perfect too. There are plenty of heat settings and the fact it has timers is great. The price was so reasonable. And there are multiple color choices. I got the lighter gray which is very nice. You can't go wrong with this heating pad.

Warm and cozy
I have to go up and down a LOT of stairs during my workday, and this is perfect for using on my thighs when I get home and sit down on the couch. It's big enough to cover my whole lap, and my entire back if I lay it length-wise. It's soft and lightweight, and feels nice. It can get very warm (in the good way) and turns off after a while. Good quality for the price.

Functional, effective, and easy to use - Just what I wanted.
4 out of 5 stars! This is a simple heating pad, no frills or fuss, and I grabbed it when it was on sale. I would have gotten another color, but the reddish color was on sale, so I went with that. It works for me, and as others have stated, I do wish the area where the cord connects to the pad wasn't quite so noticeable, if that makes sense. The disk where the cord connects to the pad is on one corner of the pad, and you're able to flip it to either side of the pad to use if you need to maneuver it to avoid pressing against the uncomfortable disk. So that's a minor inconvenience that's mostly manageable.I've not experimented much with the different heat settings or the time limits, but I do appreciate that it's got lots of options for that. I've used it a few times for my shoulder and lower back and just to warm up in the cold mornings, and it's perfectly functional. I would say it helps release tension when used on sore muscles, though it doesn't necessarily give me extended pain relief. It's just a cozy heating pad that I'm enjoying for tension release, stress relief, and general comfort.I think it was a decent price, it's functional, and it might have been a smidge larger. If you're a larger person or if you want to target larger parts of your body, you might want a larger heating pad, but otherwise, it does what it says. And I can't ask for much more than that.

Fantastic Heating
Definitely a great buy. Soft and luxurious. I haven't had to wash it yet, so not sure how well it will go through the wash. I love that there is not a bulky separate pad, no cover needed. It heats quickly and the highest setting can get a little too hot, but helps a bit sometimes I have to add a barrier between my back and the pad. Would definitely buy this again.

Great soft heating pad
Hate the plastic one, this is so soft and durable and perfect size for all aches and soreness. Very lightweight. Good design. Can cover large to small areas.

Great! Seriously putting my other cheap heating pad to shame!
Color aside (the mauve-ish side is not attractive to me), this is definitely a five-star heating pad out of the box. (The official cover is "orange-red". The opposing side is a dark gray, for reference.)It's clearly not just another copy of the "standard Chinese factory 12x24" pad Amazon is flooded with. I own one of those, and we're not directly comparing them. This is different, and let me tell you how it's better. For the rest of this review, I'll call this item "mauvy" and my old generic one "bluey".Mauvy is 20x24, Bluey is 12x24. If you're a taller person (I'm 6 foot.), and you want to lay on the couch with a heating pad from upper back to lower back, covering both sides, Mauvy does this. Bluey doesn't. My upper and lower back both ache, and laying in the crux between seat cushions with my feet up on an ottoman, Mauvy is currently warming ALL of me. Bluey could either cover all of upper or lower, OR just my central spine.Bluey is rigid, and doesn't flex much. He feels kind of like a cheap pet bed. Mauvy is thinner and FAR more flexible. He curls around me (again, in that couch crook), and I'm getting full contact all over -- no wrinkles, no lumps from the height difference... again, that size is helping here.Bluey's temperature control sucks. He gets REALLY hot, then just kinda falls off. He has six settings, and they all start off on High, then feel weaker and weaker. I start him on 1, then move to 2 when it stops bothering to heat, and repeat the process. Once 6 is done, I turn him off and start again. It's pretty dumb.Mauvy here... I've only used 1 and 2 so far. Because they cycle so imperceptibly that I can't notice it. Each number feels different, and that thinner, flexible nature is getting him right where I need him. No need to overheat myself anymore.Bluey is a power vampire. He draws 2-3 Watts when plugged in and turned off. It's enough that the controller even feels a little warm. I'm always reticent to leave Bluey alone and connected. My Kill-A-Watt says Mauvy draws 0 Watts when he's off. It's probably not quite zero, but it rounds down at least. The controller is properly cool to the touch.Mauvy's cord is slimmer as it attaches to the blanket portion. Combined with the extra width, I'm never laying on it. Bluey likes to jab me with his.Bluey starts with an automatic timer of 2 hours, and you never know how much is left. His options include "2 hours" and also "2 hours". Mauvy starts with 30 minutes on the clock, adjustable in 30-minute increments up to 2 hours. He gives you a countdown displayed in minutes.I've had Mauvy two days, so I can't speak for durability yet. I've had Bluey for three years, and I confess he's the same he always was.Spend the extra $15 and buy Mauvy. If either of the other colors suit your life better, maybe choose them. I just spent fifteen minutes writing this review, and Mauvy has gently repaired my back from a day of helping my friend move. One of these two used an emotional connection to squeeze hard labor from me, and the other selflessly put me back together afterwards. Who's the real friend here?
