Apollo Chrome Banana Tree and Fruit Bowl

This is one of those beautiful-ugly things that, I suspect, represents something of a phase I'm going through currently.It's bigger than I thought it was going to be (though not, you know, ENORMOUS) and sits perfectly well on my coffee table, reminding us all that we're enjoying slovenly, unhealthy lives while it interrupts our view of the telly with various pieces of fruit that we have failed to consume.In terms of capacity, I've only hung 6 bananas from the hook, but they were fairly long ones and didn't touch the fruit in the bowl below which (if I recall correctly) was 4 apples, 4 pears, half a net of satsumas and some nectarines, so you can get a good amount of fruit in there if your healthier-living friends are coming round and you want to look like you can be all casually healthy, too, "Oh, DO help yourself to fruit..."The design, I have to say, has grown on me. It's nicely made, weighty but not too much and is still shiny, though I've done nothing so far to contribute to that. It also doubles nicely as a circus tent for Lego figures, a moonbase, a dinosaur disco and strange sort of hat, though you have to be careful with the spine of it if you plan to wear it on your head as it WILL poke you between the shoulders at the most unexpected moments.All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase.

Arrived super quickly despite pandemic. Attractive looking. Like that you can keep the bananas high away from other fruit stopping them from over ripeing (you need to buy a bunch tightly grown together or they hang low ss other reviewers complain about). Small satsumas may sit in the bottom but we've had no problem with them falling through. Good value for money, seems pretty sturdy even when stacked high with fruit. Wouldn't risk putting it in the dishwasher for washing.

So far I have bought 2 of these fruit bowls as presents. They look modern and stylish. I can hang a large bunch of bananas on the tree with the bowl underneath being empty and it doesn't tip over due to the supporting feet keeping it sturdy. It is quite tall so doesn't fit beneath the kitchen unite but I found an alternative place for it. It seems to be well built and is going to last a few years.

The fruit bowl looks great and feels sturdy. I ordered small as were not big fruit eaters so it's the perfect size for some apples and a bunch of bananas.

It's a stylish and simplistic design, which fits in well with most kitchens. There's plenty of room inside, and it's easy to clean and maintain. The only slight issue is with the photo of this product displayed. Somehow they've managed to perch the bananas on top of the hook, whereas they normally hang from it, which gives less clearance between the bananas and the other fruit.

Well, there's not really a lot you can say about a fruit bowl. It's designed to hold fruit - and that's about it! However, this has the added bonus of a holder to keep bananas separate from other fruit (so that the other fruit doesn't ripen too quickly).My wife had been looking for something like this for ages, so was really pleased when we saw this. Friends and family have commented on how unusual it is.Approx Size: Diameter of bowl 24cm; Depth 11cm and height to top of tree 43cm.

I live in a small flat so this is perfect for the amount of space I have. I keep 4/5 apples and 4/5 oranges as well 5 bananas in there at all times and it keeps sturdy and keeps he fruit fresh!

A lot bigger than I thought it would be, really well made sits nicely under my kitchen unit, big space between fruit bowl and banana hook. Doesn’t tip when just bananas hanging. Really very pleased and came quicker than expected.
