Good deal
Some of the reviews for this seem to be overly critical or people were simply bad at reading the product description for the model they were buying. On this specific version the screen is fantastic, great viewing angles and colour.Gaming performance is great and exactly what I would have expected for this combination of specs. Fan noise is louder than the average laptop but for a laptop which requires as much cooling as this I would say the noise is absolutely fine and a decent set of speakers make it entirely negligible. Fans are silent when doing anything other than gaming or very cpu intensive work and the overall temps are great when using it on my lap or in bed.I/O is good and I've been able to set it up with monitor, mouse, keyboard and headphones while still having the spare ports. I am planning to get an external usb-c hub to dock it however to ease docking speed. My only gripe is the lack of seperate headphone/mic port, which is very poor on a laptop designed for gaming with a headset mic, requiring the use of a separate adapter to allow me to use my headset mic.

Solid performance from a beautiful laptop
I recently bought the GL503VM as a replacement for an old Asus laptop that broke after 5 years.Straight from the box, the presentation is stunning. The laptop has a sturdy and professional feel to it, especially for a laptop at this price.Performance is as quick as I expected. It runs any game that I throw at it at over 60fps. The screen is limited to 60hz of course, but this is not a problem for me as I game on an external monitor, and I personally think that 60fps does just fine. The SSD means that day to day operation feels almost spontaneous, and the extra 1TB of HDD space is a bonus. 8GB of RAM will be able to get you through most games currently, but I plan on upgrading this to 16 soon. This is simple through an easy access slot under the laptop. As the other reviews have said, the fans can be loud but that is to be expected from a gaming laptop. I would recommend manually controlling the fan if in a quiet setting. That said, it is still perfectly reasonable.I cannot be happier with this laptop, and would recommend it to anyone at such a great price.

Best price to performance and looks ratio
I got the GTX 1060 version and it's amazing. However, it gets a little bit loud while playing heavy games (fan noise is automatic, can't really configure it's speed) but normally, it runs silently. The laptop is slim (relative to it's specs) and it doesn't have a look that screams; "I'm a virgin!", that alone is the best reason to consider buying it.

Solid gaming machine, built well and the best screen at this price
This is my first PC laptop as I've only had Apple computers before this. I'm really fussy about screen quality, it's one of the most important metrics I look for in a computer and this doesn't disappoint. It's bright with rich colours (100% sRGB gamut), has decent contrast and no light bleed. I was dubious about going back to an anti glare screen after using glossy ones for so long, but honestly it's great. Performance wise it's awesome, it runs anything I throw at it with ease at ultimate settings without melting my lap. The speakers are above average having compared it to a lot of similarly priced machines, not overly loud but clear and not tinny. The keyboard is a dream to type on for me, but keyboard feel is one of those highly subjective things so feel free to disagree. Battery life is only around three hours when not gaming, can't imagine it'd last more than an hour though playing games, but all-day productivity isn't exactly what this was built for so it's a fair compromise I'd say. The fans do get loud, but they keep it cool enough to not thermally throttle at all which is impressive for a comparatively slim machine in this class. I shopped around for ages before picking this up, went to stores, compared screens etc, and at this price range there's nothing else that's such a complete overall system, and nothing with a screen to compete. Most others are only capable of around 50 to 60% sRGB and look muted and dim beside it!

This beast is awesome!
I love this Notebook! It's amazing, I got over 50 triple A games that I tested on this masterpiece on full settings and it handles them with no problem. The fans are a bit noisy if you stress the CPU and GPU or if you boost them but I'm using headphones so it doesn't bother me.The only thing I have a problem with is that they said I would get some Intel Games and I didn't. I didn't received any email with the master key needed for those '£149 worth of Intel Gaming offers'. Still waiting for that email from 19th of May.Just to be clear I got this model: GL504VM - i7-7700HQ (8CPUs) - 2.8GHz / 8GB RAM / GTX 1060 6GB / 1TB HDD / 128 SSD.Worth it!

Very happy
Very happy with this laptop. It looks more stylish than I expected. It's relatively light for a 15". Read some off the other reviews - Yes it has a TN screen but a very good one. Great color and brightness. Ran a few performance tests. Works very well, 70+ FPS. The laptop fans do get loud when under stress but this is what I expect from a gaming laptop. The laptop when not running high performance games is very quiet. I'm very happy with the price I got this for. Recommend 100%.

Good laptop
Did have some problem with this bad boy, but it does it's work, a beast for gaming, and i can run almost any game at max quality. Had some problem with bugs etc, also the screen came a bit separate from the actual body so there is a small corner lighter when i turn it on, but i fixed it with some modification.

Laptop looks great, with a very comfortable keyboard and a reasonable track pad. My only complaint about this laptop is it's speakers. They are very tinny and lack bass completely. Other than that I would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants to game or for any other reason, because it is great to take in public since it doesn't have freaky gamer looks.
