Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch - (White, Wi-Fi)

I found this an excellent tablet, worked first time out of the box, after a quick charge. After I got use to the Android system found it very easy to go on-line, store photos, store files. Accepts "Word" documents and PDF files, Jpegs photos. Communicates easy with Windows XP (after loading Service pack 3) and KIES. Accepts a USB direct (make sure you have FAT or FAT32 USBs). E-mails and google work fine, no problems. Google and the apps store are great with many many FREE apps. The cost is much lower than an ipad and I found the screen quite stunning, as good as any LCD on my PC. Delivery from Amazon was within the time specified (and free post). I would reccomend the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch. Seeing is believing!

Bought this as a 10th birthday present for Daughter who has a range of complex learning difficulties. Out of the box this was easy to setup, within 5 minutes the Tab was ready to use, a further 20 minutes later and a range of apps had been downloaded and within an hour a number of songs and films had been transferred from the PC. The clean white design of the Tab is aesthetically pleasing and is comfortable to hold in the hand and use. The location and sensitivity of the menu button and back button does make using this Tablet in portrait mode a little difficult as it is very easy to brush a finger or palm over these buttons while performing other tasks. This however is remedied with the use of one of the many combined stand and cases that can be bought for very little. The Tab itself uses the (largely) intuitive android OS, it is easy to navigate from one app to another and the device runs very smoothly, suffering no obvious slowdowns whilst in use. My daughter loves this, and alongside being a great device for her to listen to songs, watch videos and play games, now that it has been setup with a range of educational apps, has helped to make vast leaps in her education over the past six months.

I got this for my wife after trying some of the cheaper types about. It is amazing how much better it is. So is it worth the extra money I hear you say? I can say honestly that it is in my opinion, my wife is so happy and it does all she wants and more. I like it better than the Ipad and it is more usable than the Ipad. Great purchase with no regrets. I now have had to downgrade the tablet to one star, the reason is quite simple. The tablet stopped working and was returned to Samsung repair centre for repair. Without even checking the fault they said that the charging port was worn and needed replacing to the tune of £95.00. The fault was it stopped working even though fully charged. On further investigation this is common practise for Samsung so be warned. It was great when working but don't expect any support from a money grabbing bunch of Korean's. It is there loss, we are in the process of buying a new TV, guess what brand I will not be buying?

I chose this tablet because it was, at the time, cheaper than the tab2. I like the physical home button on the bottom however I can see it, along with the touch buttons on either side of it, causing a problem for when the tablet is used in the portrait orientation. The touch buttons on eithe side of the home button have quite a big area of which it is eazy to accidently press them but overall I prsonally like them. This tablet is rather biased towards people who like landscape usage such as myself. Another reason is that I had used my dads tab 2 and liked it. It is one of the higher brands out there at the moment and is in my opinion affordable. I paid £229 for this £179 after subtracting the amazon giftcard I got from my parents for xmas. I am currently writing this using the tablet and could not find how to write a review via the amazon app so I am using the browser instead. I noticed other complaining of their tablet not coming with a 16gb sd card. Mine did come with this. People should know that the tablet cannot be charged via the pc as there is not enough power. At least not while you are using it or so ive heard - will update when I find out more first handedly. I like the smartstay where the front camera detects your eyes so that it doesnt turn off while you are looking at it which is perfect for reading. I have only just received this tablet today about an hour and a half ago and so far I am in love. To be continued. UPDATE 1 week on and have used heavily. However a couple days ago I noticed the aluminium strip on the right side of the screen surrounding the speaker has come away enough to fit a fingernail inside. Amazon have sent me a prepaid postage label and have arranged a yodel collection (next day might I add) to return the item. I have requested a replacement - will let know how well this turns out. I do love this tablet so I will sacrifice a few days without it! I still think it deserves a 5 star as I feel it is a minor problem. I am worried the strip will come away further therefore I have no other choice but to get a replacement. On another note the ease of backing up the device is excellent! It will hopefully allow my replacement to be restored and appear as nothing ever happened.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 a few months ago. Brilliant piece of technology and nowhere near as heavy as the ipad. I love it. I have given it a 5 star because it performs so well. HOWEVER...don't do as I did and let the battery drain completely! It spent the whole next day on charge and was completely dead... I finally found out that this is because the battery doesn't know how to 'wake up'. Found this info and solution on you tube. You need to, carefully, remove the back cover, unclip the battery and then reconnect. It worked! I didn't downgrade my 5 star review as this was my fault as no technology batteries should be completely drained. I'm posting this incase anyone else has a similar experience. Other than that, i would recommend this tablet to anyone, I use ipads regularly at work but Samsung is my favourite.
